Yulia Volkova’s slutacular new single “Didn’t Wanna Do It”
I know that t.A.T.u.‘s whole lesbian schtick was just a gimmick to sell records, but now I’m starting to think that Yulia Volkova has legitimately been into muff diving the entire time.
She already toyed with girl-on-girl action in her first solo single, “All Because of You”, and now she’s back at it again (surprise!) on her official follow-up, or should I say, official foray into the sordid world of adult entertainment, “Didn’t Wanna Do It”.
The autotuned single, which vaguely resembles 2NE1′s “I Am The Best” if sung by a sex-crazed washed-up Russian pop star, paints Yulia out to be a total clit-tease who willingly seduces another woman, then regrets it and claims she never wanted to do it in the first place.
“She came to my crib / I tell her meet me at the hot tub,” Yulia robotically recites in her thick accent. “Started getting undressed / Gave her patron and told her drink up / How was I supposed to know / That when we drunk it make us do things?”
Aww, poor Yulia. So naive and innocent.
“She turned into a hoe,” Yulia continues. “And so I turned into a pimp g!”
The music video is just as elegant and classy as you’d expect from a song of this nature. Yulia plays a professional (s)expert who runs a phone helpline for love problems (dial 69!). She ends up lending her special services to a scorned woman who just caught her husband in bed with someone else, and the crazy sexual hi-jinx begin.
Yulia dresses the poor woman up like a total slut, then drives her to an outdoor orgy. That’s pretty much it.
With beauty created by the surgeon’s knife, buckets of autotune, and porno-pop music videos, Yulia is basically the Russian Nicki Minaj.
Now I wanna officially trade Yulia for Nicki. She’s too flawless for words!
