Watch: Ciara covers Britney’s “Slave 4 U” on Ustream.
Ciara already opened for Britney Spears during the Circus tour, and now she’s taken things one step further by attempting to cover one of Britney’s most iconic hits, “Slave 4 U”, during a recent live Ustream chat session with her fans last week.
In the video, CiCi boasts about her abilities at imitating Britney’s distinguishable voice, before taking a shot at singing several lines from the song and copying Britney’s trademark coos.
Let’s just say that it ain’t gonna win her no Grammy’s anytime soon, but the six seconds between 2:07 and 2:13 sounded pretty good!
Meanwhile CiCi’s hot new single is currently failing to ‘Ride’ up the charts or iTunes. Not helping matters is the fact that it’s been ban from BET which broadcasts to a lot of Ciara’s target market, and the word on the street is that the UK have also snubbed the video and refused to play it, except for MTV Base who will only put it on after 9pm.
Maybe Ciara can rock a burqa in her next clip?

I think Proph fails to realize the point of Ride as a single. It’s doing GREAT on Rhythmic and Urban..which are the formats it’s been released to.
