Ushers new album is SO good that it’s been pushed back… INDEFINITELY!

It looks like all the Usher stans out there won’t be getting their hands on the singers new album Raymond Vs. Raymond in time for Christmas like originally planned, with a rep for Ush confirming that it’s now been pushed back indefinitely.

“We believe that the album is so strong that we want to give it the opportunity to have the proper setup before coming out.” [source]

The album is so good that it’s been pushed back? That’s a first! It must be pretty amazing then!

I wonder if the billion leaks have something to do with this? Or maybe it’s the lukewarm reception that the lead single “Papers” has received? The song has been a big hit on the R&B charts but has failed to crossover, stalling at #31 on the Hot 100.

  2. Dimp Says:

and who do they think their foolin? Aint no album SO GOOD that its gettin pushed bacl. Papers wasn’t hittin it. The whole success from my divorce thing didn’t go as planned like they intended…

    meh…I saw it comin.

  3. Lucky Says:

hitting #31 with no video or promo isn’t bad at all. If he actually pushed it could be top 10 easy.

If Papers is any indication, I’m assuming the bulk of the album are Tameka jabs that for the sake of his kids need to be removed.

  4. Robier Says:

lol. It must have leaked too much lol

  5. The Prophet Says:

It’s not that great for Ushers standards, but ur right, with no promo or video its good.

  6. den Says:

That’s the biggest load of crap I’ve heard.
Oh well, haven’t really liked his recent music.

  7. Yours Truely Says:

I called this about 2months ago I knew it was coming just a matter of time…..I’m pissed b/c these r&b guys are making it SO easy for Trey Songs to not only go after that spot but take it…..where da hell is Tyrese at!?!? I like Chris but I need some GROWN man music Chris isn’t on that level yet…..hell I’ll even take Sisqo at this point! LOL….I’m serious tho :-/

  8. J2201987 Says:

Oh yeah it’s so good, Ben Vereen 2.0 is discovering himself and the music has become so profound and meaningful.

  9. AalexisrR Says:

Yaa 31 isn’t bad for singles these days I guess but No video and no prom that’s pretty good. I think the album will be good by pop standards, R&B prolly not so much…

  10. The Prophet Says:

    DEAD @ BEN VEREEN

  11. Tohamy Says:

usher’s team are just afraid that the album will be flop again. as for all the leaks tracks nothing is impressive.

  12. ImHighPrice Says:

If the album is “SO GOOD”, how about they release a single that proves it because “Papers” fucking suck & its only kind of a HIT because it’s controversial.

He needs to stop trying to top “Confessions” & let the music happen naturally and it’s obvious that’s what he’s thinking when he get’s in the studio.

  13. ImHighPrice Says:

Trey Songz is just UGH! He’s arrogant & 95% of his music is just SEX. He has no depth.

Usher used to be my fave….Until I bought “Here I Stand”…SMH…I’m not even gonna go in on that album right now.

Chris Brown is pretty much the only one I stan for because he’s amazing in every way & he’s only getting better.

  14. florida_girl Says:

@ImHighPrice…I agree with you 100% about Chris Brown…he is going to keep back on top, the man music is really good and the stuff he’s writing for others are really good too…his vocals will improve he’s still really young but dude is talented…

  15. R. Says:

Papers is just a buzz single! The first single will be fire u will all see and come back to supporting usher again. His leaked stuff is good, U all expect something supergood that’s why u all have no lives except to hate on somebody so successful. U all don’t know talent when you hear it. Go back and listen to the autotune garbage that is on radio which sucks. Usher, please prove all these good for nothing haters wrong! I know you will!

  16. R?. Says:

When Confessions was pushed back from Nov 2003 to March 23 2004 that album did extremely good. Don’t be so quick to dismiss him. His new album will do fine! Have faith in him.
