Three flawless remixes you absolutely must hear right now

It’s been a slow few days for worthwhile happenings in the pop world, so I decided to go trawling Google for something decent to post. During my lengthy and arduous travels (I must have spent damn near seven minutes on Youtube!) I came across some flawless remixes, and I’ve decided that you all must hear them right now. This second!

Proceed below.

BIGBANG Feat Janet Jackson – “Fantastic Baby (Rock With U)”

I couldn’t believe my eyes and ears when I came across this masterpiece. BIGBANG‘s electro anthem “Fantastic Baby” mashed-up with Janet Jackson‘s underrated club non-classic “Rock With U” — how much better can you get?!

Janet’s lush “Rock With U” instrumental takes the hard edge away from BIGBANG’s big banger, breathing new life into the K-Pop hit and reinventing it as a dreamy dance-rap smash that’s so good it almost surpasses the original.

I’m not gonna be corny and say that this mashup is fantastic, baby, but we all know that it totally is!

Nelly Furtado – Big Hoops (Wideboys Club Edit)

The amazing “Big Hoops” has been nothing but a big flop, but maybe it’ll be able to find some love on the dance floor with a slew of hot remixes.

The Wideboys mix is definitely a contender for a possible club hit, stripping “Big Hoops” of its alt-urban swag and replacing it with fat electro beats. Nelly’s nasal singing sounds fierce all sped up like a tape on fast forward, and lyrics like “I can go fast, I can go slow” sound tailor made to dance to.

Florence + the Machine – Spectrum (Calvin Harris Remix)

Ever since hearing Cheryl Cole’s “Call My Name” and that utterly atrocious Scissor Sisters single, I’ve gotten the impression that Calvin Harris is nosediving after reaching his commercial crossover peak with “We Found Love”, but his remix of Florence + the Machine‘s “Spectrum” proves that there’s still some fire left in the Scottish DJ.

Calvin’s big breakdowns and melodic style is a fitting match for Flo, whose build her career on powerful hooks and rich instrumentals. Calvin’s “Spectrum” remix is already garnering a lot of attention, having racked up 250,000 plays on Florence’s Youtube channel, so with any luck it’ll be sent to radio in the States and become a huge hit for both of them.

Because it’s boring and didn’t feel like talking about how little it interests me.

The BIGBANG and Florence remixes, GENIOUS! I don’t like that much Nelly’s remix I like the song better in the urban feel.

Ok… these remixes are spot on, the BIGBANG “Fantastic Baby” remix is better than the original IMO, it SLAYS and i love it.
The Nelly remix made me wanna dance all over my bed lmao and the Florence remix is good too but not as drastic as the other two.
