The Saturdays aim for American takeover with E! reality series, continue to be irrelevant and basic

Now that Girls Aloud is back in business, their incompetent seat fillers The Saturdays have been left with no other choice than to flee Europe to try and restart their career in the States. Someone in the group’s camp must give one helluva rimjob because the girls have somehow inked a deal to launch their own reality series on E! called Chasing The Saturdays, which is set to premiere in January.
You can check out a preview of their first US single “What About Us” featuring Sean Paul below. It’s an innocuous slice of unimaginative radio fodder that sounds exactly like the female version of The Wanted, which is exactly what The Saturdays is.
Yawn.
Sadly, chances are that this will probably become a hit. The Sats have already racked up some major connections in the States, signing to Island Def Jam, landing the E! series, and becoming butt buddies with Perez Hilton. The only possible explanation for all of this is that Hurricane Sandy has blown away the taste and braincells of every single American working in the entertainment industry.
This is not good people. This is not good.
Chasing The Saturdays premieres Sunday, January 20th.
