The Ex-Girlfriends Shit On The Saturdays With the Anthem of the Century

Last week I was trying to illegally stream TV shows online (Enlightened, season two, to be specific) when a pop-up of this flop Latin girl group started spamming me. Their name is The Ex-Girlfriends, and the pop-up was for their debut music video, “We Are the Party.”

After doing some digging, I discovered two things: 1) Every one of the almost 400,000 views that “We Are The Party” has racked up is a result of spamming people online and 2) The Ex-Girlfriends was formed by Lupe Fuentes, a Spanish porn star nicknamed “Little Lupe” because she’s only 4′ 11″ and looks like jailbait.

Here’s a clip of the graceful beauty on Howard Stern.

“We Are The Party” sounds like it was produced for about $2 in the backroom of a Colombian AUSTRALIAN* abortion clinic. It’s a hideously generic piece of brainless dance-pop with a dubstep breakdown and buckets of autotune to disguise the fact that Little Lupe can barely even speak English, let alone sing.

In other words, it’s UTTERLY FABULOUS!!!

Meanwhile, The Saturdays have also released their own piece of redundant trash called “What About Us.” It’s basically the same kind of song as “We Are The Party,” except boring because it’s The Saturdays.

    Ok @bitchermeanierprettier, with a usnername like yours how are you seriously comin at Jaques for being a bitch? Just sayin… And I mean no offense, cuz he is definitely a bitch in his write-ups… But how do you honestly not expect that after being a repeat reader all this time? Don’t get me wrong… The Beyonce hate on here as of late is a bit ridiculous, I’ll give you that, but he’s definitely written just as much crap about tons of other artists from around the world. He flip-flops from stanning to hating constantly, and he definitely gives everyone there shit, even the ones he likes. He dragged ke$ha’s last single, used to love Rihanna, but drags her constantly now too… Used to love Britney, but drags her now as well… And he praised JT’s R&B mess like it was god’s gift to the radio! Those are all just a few recent opinions… My point in all this is simple… THIS is a PERSONAL blog. It’s not a piece of official work, or a syndicated member of the foreign press, so pipe down. I don’t know what else you want from him. He explained to you that it was just a joke, and he even edited the piece because it offended you personally. While I may find some of his writing to be a tad inappropriate, I learned to accept it as all in good fun.

    If it’s truly too much for you, here’s some other blogs that are more of a straight news delivery than a personal commentary… You may find them more to your liking…

    WOA. Pipe the fuck down! I didn’t say I like this group at all… I said they were ‘Fabulous’… That’s a sarcastic comment coming from a bored pop fan. I think they’re all pretty damn hot… That’s what I commented on. Nowhere there did I say I was a fan of their shitty music! And why are you coming at me about Katy? I may find Krap$ha’s music to be shit… But you know damn well I’ve always loved Katy! I think she’s generic as shit, and every the industry puppet as the next… But Jacques you know damn well I fought with you A LOT last year when you were dragging Ms. Perry through the mud like no other!     Dude seriously? I never said I was fan of the Saturdays… I said they were fabulous… Sarcasm intended… Lol, I think they’re hot. I’ve never heard a single song from them… I did see a clip of their reality show though … I guess that makes me a “Stan” by your slim standards. And let go of the Beyonce shit man… it’s getting old now lol. I couldn’t give two shits about Bey… Or her “baby”, or her “fraud”… Lol. Go watch your medicated fave sit in a chair and flip her hair… Or your other fave roll around bursting out of her fishnets eating a cake whole.

    I don’t know them all too well, but I know the radio here stateside, and I agree with you, they don’t have much of a shot. If they could pull a Carly Rae and come up with some ridiculous ‘Call me Maybe’, I could see a one hit wonder situation, but idk if they have it with this song. I’ll admit, after being thoroughly destroyed in the comments below for calling the Saturdays ‘Fabulous’ based purely on their looks, I decided to actually hit that play button above and check out their song. Honestly, generic attributes aside, It’s catchy for what it is. I still agree with you though, it just doesn’t scream hit stateside for me.

    That was my point. I think they’re attractive, and IF they had a song LIKE ‘Call Me Maybe’, I could see them potentially having a MOMENT on the US charts… I don’t however think ‘what about us’ is that hit for them… at all

    I cant even read this blogs posts anymore. That song is horrible. I don’t like the Saturdays, but at least their video and sound have decent quality. “We are the Party” is not the anthem of the century, but you can go ahead and pretend.

    I thought What About Us was good. I’ve heard of them before but almost all of their singles were not my cup of tea. I definitely warmed up to them when I heard their US debut single.
