After admitting that she’s never heard a Jay-Z song and doesn’t like pop music, Miley Cyrus has now taken it one step further by announcing on GMTV that she’s ready to ditch pop all together after her next album to focus on a style that’s truer to herself.

“I want to do my last pop record, I’m working on a record right now. I kinda want this to be my last record for a little while and be able to take a break and just get all the types of music that I really love, you know my favourite styles. And be able to have something edgier and not have to worry about people saying, “Oh, this isn’t what her fans want to listen to.’

“Because in a few years, as I grow up, so will my fans and I won’t have to focus on that as much and I’ll be able to have more of the sound of music that I’m into.”

Well who didn’t see this coming? Miley’s been pretty open lately about her lack of interest in her current music, so it’ll be interesting to see exactly what this “new” style of hers is going to be.

Do you think she’ll come out with a filthy x-rated video to showcase her new image? It just simply wouldn’t be a proper pop transformation if she didn’t!

Rihanna hit the clubs yet again late last week for another release party for Rated R in New York City.

Despite poor expectations Rated R has managed to crack into the top five on the Billboard charts, coming in at #4 with 181k.

Speaking of Rated R, has anybody looked through the booklet? I was in the record store earlier today and I was flipping through the book and basically every single page has a picture of Riri’s tiddays or azz!

It looks like singer Cassie has got herself a good weave because her shaved head was nowhere to be seen when her hairstylist tweeted a photo of the two on the set of a new photoshoot earlier today.

Do you think Cassie just covered up for the shoot, or is this going to be a permanent thing? Personally I love the shave so I hope she goes back to it.

Miley Cyrus a.k.a. the girl who’s never heard a Jay-Z song in her life was snapped earlier looking sexy at the Jingle Bell Ball in London where she’ll be performing.

The 17-year-old was another victim of this years Grammy awards, failing to receive any nominations despite racking up a number of hits including “Party In The U.S.A.” and “The Climb” (which was nominated but Miley wasn’t).

The 19-year-old is about to release her new UK-only single “Don’t Let It Go to You Head” soon, with rumours swirling that “It Takes More” will be released in the States.

Whatever she releases she better do it soon because the momentum of her new album Battlefield is almost gone completely.

Something tells me that we won’t be seeing any more music video’s from this era, just a few promo singles that get sent to radio and fail. It’s a shame since I think her new album is very solid and much better than a lot of other pop albums out right now.

In a new interview teen sensation Miley Cyrus has admitted that she’s never heard a Jay-Z song, even though she references the rapper in her chart topping hit “Party In The U.S.A.”.

I didn’t write the song. I have no idea, I just picked that song because I needed something to go with my clothing line. I didn’t write it and it’s not something thta I expected to be popular.

I’ve never heard a Jay-Z song. I don’t listen to pop music, and [that song] isn’t even my style of music. I’m just really blessed for it to have done as well as it has.

A lot of people hate on Miley, and personally I’m not a huge fan, but I have nothing against her. I think she’s talented and I don’t find her to be slutty or anything.

It’s hilarious though that she admitted that she just recorded “Party In The U.S.A.” for her clothing line. I actually admire her honesty because most people front about their music, but Miley was just straight up and didn’t give a damn. She should’ve changed the lyrics to an artist she did know though because it’s stupid to reference somebody you’ve never listened to.

This reminds me of when Britney Spears was crazy and Ryan Seacrest asked her who’s idea it was to say “It’s Britney Bitch” and Britney was just like “Yeah the producer told me to do it” and then walked off and left Sam Lufti and Alli Sims to handle the rest of the call!
