Besides having a crazy menace off the streets for a few weeks, the best thing about Lindsay Lohan’s current incarceration is the fact that she has no distractions from the outside world, and therefore can finally knuckle down and work on her new album! Or at least that’s what Popeater are reporting.

“Lindsay is going to spend her time in jail writing new songs that she will record the second she gets out,” a source very close to Lohan told PopEater on Wednesday. “Her emotions are so raw at the moment the material will be her best ever.”

The source then goes as far as to claim: “It will definitely get nominated for a Grammy.”

Eh, I don’t know about a Grammy, but if Beyonce can win fifty of them…

Anyway, this dark “I’m in jail confessing my sins through music” is at odds with the “Rihanna-meets-Kylie” dance-pop direction that Lindsay was originally going with for with her third album, but considering that most of that material was recorded years ago, and has now leaked online, it’s probably time to start over again.

To refresh your memory a little, Lindsay scored the biggest hit of her short-lived pop career back in 2005 with the self-penned “Confessions Of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)”, which was written about her poor relationship with her father and messy upbringing. Maybe she can do it again, but this time against the backdrop of some killer dance-pop instead of manufactured pop-rock.

She’s heading to the slammer soon, but that hasn’t made Lindsay Lohan immune to the perils of illegal filesharing, with another cut from her unreleased third album hitting the web today via Piggy Perez.

The song was produced by J.R. Rotem — who did several tracks for LiLo’s album and also produced on Paris Hilton’s debut — and was written by up & coming electro-pop artist Lolene.

“Too Young to Die” has Lindsay comparing the end of a relationship to various forms of a grisly death (crashing your car, falling off a building, drinking poison), over a very radio-friendly, R&B-Pop beat. It doesn’t sound completely finished, but even in this form it’s easy to see that it’s yet another winning track from Lindsay’s ill-fated album.

You have to take into account that most of album (originally titled ‘Spirit in the Dark’) was recorded and ready for release way back in 2007, so many of the leaks we’re just hearing now are dated by a few years. A lot of the music — including this song — have a very Rihanna ‘Good Girl Gone Bad‘ type sound, and really would’ve worked well on the charts at the time.

With all of Lindsay’s impending jail time and court appointed rehab, it’s safe to say that we won’t be hearing any new music for a while, but perhaps next year she’ll work something out and be the filthy, shameless pop star that we all know she can be.

I think can officially say goodbye to that third Lindsay Lohan album and music video for “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop”.

The current wave of Lindsay Lohan leaks show no sign of slowing down with an unfinished demo “I Wanna Be Bad” from her new album hitting the web today.

Unfortunately out of the bunch of surprisingly stellar songs we’ve gotten from LiLo lately, “I Wanna Be Bad” falls short with generic and tacky lyrics and dated production. In the songs defense it’s still in it’s demo stages so it’s unfair to judge it properly, but it’s still unexciting and sounds like it was probably recorded back in 2007 during the early sessions for the album.

Perhaps a mixtape or iTunes EP would be a good way of releasing the older material and creating buzz for her next record, which after more than three years in the making would most likely require a bunch of brand new songs in order to sound fresh and current.

As previously reported Lindsay announced that she’s planning to shoot a video one of her better songs “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop”. Hopefully that will just be the beginning of a jump start for LiLo’s pop career.

The recent flood of leaks surrounding Lindsay Lohan’s third album has prompted the star to move ahead with her music career, announcing on Twitter today that she’ll shoot a video for her new song “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop”.

I don’t know who, but someone keeps leaking my tracks! I can assure everyone, it is NOT me.. so I’ve decided to do a music video rather than let my tracks just go to waste…. need some time to choose a director and such.

Whether or not LiLo will put her words into action is a whole different story, but it’s good to see that she’s starting to focus on music again. “Bossy” and “Stuck” would’ve made much better singles, but if she’s just trying to release a music video for promo purposes until she gets things together then “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” would be fine.

Her songs are top-notch but the sound is a little stuck in 2007/2008, so viral music videos and iTunes singles would be a great way to use some of the older material and increase hype for her third album.

While Lindsay Lohan is busy trying to avoid jail time the pesky iLeaks are hard at work leaking her music, today releasing a new song “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” online.

The melancholy midtempo isn’t quite as dark as LiLo’s last leak “Stuck”, but it still explores the same theme of being attached to a former lover who isn’t interested in you any longer.

It’s pure pop and definitely falls in the same category of something like Rihanna’s “Good Girl Gone Bad” or Britney Spears “Circus”, which is the same vibe that Lindsay said she was going for when she first announced news of her new album (way back in 2007).

Judging by all the material that’s leaked so far Lindsay was definitely onto a winner with this elusive third album. Maybe the sudden leakage surrounding her recording sessions will prompt the troubled star to put a little more effort into her music career and move ahead with the albums release because her songs are just as good as what a lot of the top dogs in pop are releasing right now.

Lindsay Lohan called up KIIS FM this week to clear up the rumors about her private life and partying habits or something like that, and during the interview the starlet mentioned that besides her upcoming film and fashion projects she’s also been writing and recording on and off for her untitled third album (it’s no longer titled ‘Spirit In The Dark’).

In addition to the A-list cast of hitmakers on the new album such as the Neptunes, J.R. Rotem, Kara DioGuardi, Timbaland, Snoop Dogg, Bloodshy & Avant and many more, Lindsay is also working with indie fave Khaela Maricich of The Blow.

Khaela has been playing a few small shows recently where she’s been performing some of the demos that she’s recorded for Lindsay, the most recent instance being during an opening slot for Vampire Weekend.

Party animal Lindsay Lohan has let out some more details on her highly-delayed third album on Twitter, confirming previous reports that rapper Snoop Dogg will appear on one of the tracks.

Rumors of the Snoop Dogg collaboration first surfaced back in early 2008 when a backstabber insider close to Lohan said that the pair had recorded an “amazing” track together. Despite her troublesome reputation the socialite/singer/actress still seems to be on good terms with the rapper, pictured above attending the release party for his More Malice album last month.

Lindsay also revealed that she has a song on the album penned by Kara DioGuardi and produced by J.R. Rotem, which has a “Madonna undertone”. That really doesn’t tell us much since Madge changes genre with every album, but when it comes to Lindsay’s disastrous music career vague news is better than no news.

Other producers on Lohan’s Spirit In The Dark album include Timbaland, The Neptunes, Akon, Stargate, Bloodshy & Avant and more.

The current status of her record deal is unclear. She’s supposed to be signed to Universal Motown, but I heard some rumors that she’s been dropped and is currently shopping for a new deal on the low. Don’t quote me on it though.

The other day I posted a snippet of a new Lindsay Lohan song “Stuck”, and now the trashy musical gods of actors-turned-singers have answered our prayers and delivered the track to us in full.

For someone who’s life is such a mess you almost wouldn’t expect this to be that good, but it’s actually a fantastic rocky electro-pop song that shows a lot of musical potential in the trouble star. The lyrics to “Stuck” are also searingly honest, and seem to possibley allude to her relationship with Samantha Ronson (or one of her many flings).

Hopefully Lindsay lives long enough to release her delayed third album Spirit in the Dark, because if the whispers from the gossip sites are anything to go by then she’s in a bad state. One website even reported that the media have pre-written stories about her death so they can go to press quickly if it happens, and yesterday she was seen with her feet covered in a mysterious white substance that either looked like baby powder a shit load of cocaine that had burst out of it’s bag whilst being hidden in her shoe.

A snippet of a track called “Stuck” from troubled socialite Lindsay Lohan’s third album Spirit In The Dark leaked online last week. I didn’t bother posting it because fake Lindsay leaks surface all the time, but now the singer-actress has indeed confirmed that it is actually her in the short clip.

This isn’t the first taste that we’ve got of Lindsay’s new music either, after a snippet of a song titled “I Wanna Be Bad” was played when LiLo appeared on the Alan Carr show for an interview recently.

Unfortunately a release date for her highly-delayed album still seems nowhere in sight, but she did recently tell someone that she was just trying to get it “perfect” before releasing. Shame then that she’s been saying that exact line for months and months now.

If it ever does get released expect contributions from Pharrell, Timbaland, Ne-Yo, JR Rotem, Stargate, Akon, Snoop Dogg, Bloodshy & Avant and a whole lot more.

You could even see a Darkchild produced duet between Lindsay and Lady GaGa after the Telephone producer said he’d love to get the two in the studio to record something together.

Sometimes actress and occasional singer Lindsay Lohan has made no secret of her love and admiration for Lady GaGa (just check her Twitter page), often publicly gushing that she’d love for to record a duet with the pop princess.

Well now it seems that Lindsay’s dream could actually become a reality, with producer Darkchild (GaGa’s “Telephone”) keen to get Lindsay back in the studio with not only himself but also Lady GaGa to.

“I can pair them up,” says Jerkins, whose most recent collaboration was on Gaga’s “Telephone” featuring Beyoncé. “I would love it. I would love to see what could happen.”

“If she stays focused, I think she has what it takes,” Jerkins told reporters this weekend at the Clive Davis/Recording Academy pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. “I’ve talked to her, and I said, ‘You’ve got what it takes. I really believe in you.’ “

“I’ve seen a lot of people questioning actresses who have wanted to become pop stars, and they don’t have it,” Jerkins said. “I believe she has it, something deep down. I’ve listened to her in the past, and I think there’s something there. It just needs to be pulled out.” {source}

Even if the pair didn’t do a duet, Lady GaGa and Darkchild could certainly write and produce a song to help Lindsay get back on the charts. Just this week Lindsay re-confirmed on her Twitter that her long-awaited third album was still going ahead, and that she’s just busy trying to make it “perfect”.

Lindsay really has a lot of X-factor and if she puts her mind to it I’m she could end up with something in the vein of Rihanna’s Rated R or Britney Spears Blackout. Let’s hope she can get her act together and takes advantage of this major opportunity with Darkchild!

Pop icon Janet Jackson was snapped yesterday at The Grove in Los Angeles to oversee a flash mob who were promoting her upcoming greatest hits album Number Ones.

The flash mob recreated some of Janet’s most famous choreography in a dance medley of songs including “If”, “Rhythm Nation”, and “Miss You Much”.

The first in line for Janet’s crown, Britney Spears, was snapped at the Royal Botanic gardens in Sydney on Saturday, where she was spending some quality time with her two young sons.

I can’t believe she’s in Sydney already and I haven’t stalked her. I should jump on the Britney forums to see where she is so I can follow her around and spy!

My man Justin Timberlake was spotted pumping his own petrol (or gas if you’re in the States) at the station yesterday.

Meanwhile it looks like we won’t be seeing a follow-up to Futuresex/Lovesounds any time soon, with Timbaland breaking the sad news during a recent interview.

“I can’t really speak on [Justin's] behalf, but we’re not really in that frame of mind right now. I’ll be honest with you, that’s the album that I’m scared if I can top it.”

Party animal Lindsay Lohan was snapped on Friday night at an in-store event for designer Rebecca Minkoff.

After announcing that she was still working on her third studio album, Lindsay revealed that she has a mystery new collaborator in the works for the record.

“I can’t say anything because the person I’m working with on the album I haven’t officially signed with yet.”

Meanwhile despite insisting that she’s now drug and alcohol free, the 23-year-old was snapped in a compromising position over the weekend at a wild Hollywood Hills house party with Paris Hilton.

The party got out of hand when paparazzi spotted billionaire brat Brandon Davis and another male doing coke in the bathroom through an open window. Lindsay was then spotted in the room with them, but it was unclear exactly what she was doing. She’s lucky that the paps didn’t catch her doing anything because with her criminal record she could end up back in jail. Check out the scandalous footage here.
