Sometimes actress and occasional singer Lindsay Lohan has made no secret of her love and admiration for Lady GaGa (just check her Twitter page), often publicly gushing that she’d love for to record a duet with the pop princess.

Well now it seems that Lindsay’s dream could actually become a reality, with producer Darkchild (GaGa’s “Telephone”) keen to get Lindsay back in the studio with not only himself but also Lady GaGa to.

“I can pair them up,” says Jerkins, whose most recent collaboration was on Gaga’s “Telephone” featuring Beyoncé. “I would love it. I would love to see what could happen.”

“If she stays focused, I think she has what it takes,” Jerkins told reporters this weekend at the Clive Davis/Recording Academy pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. “I’ve talked to her, and I said, ‘You’ve got what it takes. I really believe in you.’ “

“I’ve seen a lot of people questioning actresses who have wanted to become pop stars, and they don’t have it,” Jerkins said. “I believe she has it, something deep down. I’ve listened to her in the past, and I think there’s something there. It just needs to be pulled out.” {source}

Even if the pair didn’t do a duet, Lady GaGa and Darkchild could certainly write and produce a song to help Lindsay get back on the charts. Just this week Lindsay re-confirmed on her Twitter that her long-awaited third album was still going ahead, and that she’s just busy trying to make it “perfect”.

Lindsay really has a lot of X-factor and if she puts her mind to it I’m she could end up with something in the vein of Rihanna’s Rated R or Britney Spears Blackout. Let’s hope she can get her act together and takes advantage of this major opportunity with Darkchild!

Pop icon Janet Jackson was snapped yesterday at The Grove in Los Angeles to oversee a flash mob who were promoting her upcoming greatest hits album Number Ones.

The flash mob recreated some of Janet’s most famous choreography in a dance medley of songs including “If”, “Rhythm Nation”, and “Miss You Much”.

Party animal Lindsay Lohan was snapped on Friday night at an in-store event for designer Rebecca Minkoff.

After announcing that she was still working on her third studio album, Lindsay revealed that she has a mystery new collaborator in the works for the record.

“I can’t say anything because the person I’m working with on the album I haven’t officially signed with yet.”

The party got out of hand when paparazzi spotted billionaire brat Brandon Davis and another male doing coke in the bathroom through an open window. Lindsay was then spotted in the room with them, but it was unclear exactly what she was doing. The 23-year-old recently confirmed that she’s still planning on releasing her long-awaited 3rd album Spirit In The Dark, and that she’d love to do a collaboration with Lady GaGa.

Reports surfaced last month that the 23-year-old had been dropped from her label, but were quickly denied by her camp.

Lindsay has been working on-and-off on the album for the past 16 months, reportedly spending time in the studio with an all star cast including Pharrell & The Neptunes, Timbaland, Ne-Yo, JR Rotem, Stargate, Akon, Snoop Dogg, Bloodshy & Avant and more.

So there you have it, the album is still coming. Now all we need is for Lindsay to sort out her personal life so she can on kick starting her music career again. I actually really like her music, she’s my guilty pleasure, so I’d love to hear her new album.

Socialite Paris Hilton will reportedly channel pop princess Kylie Minogue on her upcoming sophomore album, revealing the news during a recent interview with OK magazine.

“Recording is going amazing. My new album is inspired by Kylie Minogue. I wrote all the songs myself. I will be performing next year.”

Hilton also took to her official Twitter to gush about her Idol.

“I love her! She is so beautiful and talented and such an inspiration for my new album.”

This comes only a month after I previously reported that the heirhead was back in the studio after being spotted attending vocal lessons in L.A.

Although she has been recording her sophomore effort since November 2007, recent reports indicate that she scrapped the previous material and started again from scratch.

“Paris is preparing for album number two,” said a source in early September. “She’s super excited about it and the stuff she’s started working on sounds amazing. There is no question, she’s going to have another hit off this album.”

Hiltons first album, Paris, was released in 2006 and only managed to sell about 180k in the US, but it did reach a total of roughly 500k worldwide. It also spawned the hit single “Stars Are Blind” which peaked in the top 20 of the Hot 100, and managed to reach the top 5 and 10 in most countries internationally.

I love Paris’ first album so I’m glad to know that she’s actually attempting to release a second one. She has zero talent but as long as she has some good producers she can still turn out some hot songs. I think a Kylie-esque sound would suit her, but I hope she keeps some of the urban-pop sound of her debut. She’d be a fool not to work with Scott Storch again because he created some great tracks for her.

According to new reports from Fox News, troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan has been dropped by her label Casablanca Records.

Lohan is however reportedly keen to continue her music career.

“Casablanca has suspended all further recording sessions of her album and put their working relationship with her on hold.” reveals a source close to the singer “Lindsay was committed to making music and has been working on it for 16 months. She is going to do what she can to keep her music career going.”

Lindsay released her first two albums through Casablanca, but later switched to Motown Records, so there is some confusion as to whether or not she still has a deal with Motown or not.

The news comes only a few weeks after Lindsay revealed via Twitter that she was planning on finishing off her third album, Spirit In The Dark, with her label when she got back to New York.

The album was originally set to drop sometime last year, but after countless delays Lindsay admitted in an interview that she had stopped returning calls to her label after crumbling under the pressure.

Spirit In The Dark was set to contain collaborations with Pharrell & The Neptunes, Timbaland, Ne-Yo, JR Rotem, Stargate, Akon, Snoop Dogg, Bloodshy & Avant and more.

Lindsay’s debut album Speak was certified platinum in 2005, but was later the subject of scandal when her label were fined $12 million in a payola scandal, which saw them pursuing unethical methods to get Lindsay’s video’s on MTV’s TRL and her songs played on the radio.

Who didn’t see this coming? I actually like Lindsay’s music and I was looking forward to her new album because of all the great collabo’s she had. Her career is down the toilet so I don’t know why she didn’t take the opportunity to release an album because it’s not like she’s too busy doing movies. She’s basically the same as Rihanna, a pretty girl with great style and an adequate voice, so she should’ve given it a shot. Oh well.

I hope she releases this soon. I think she’s got an interesting voice and she’s working some really good people so I think she could make a hot album. I’d rather see her ditch some of the poppier producers though and go with some edgier urban stuff with the Neptunes, similar to the stuff they did with Kelis, but mixed with a Britney-vibe. “Bossy” was a really good track so she seriously needs to get her act together.

Her acting career seems to be down the toilet so what does she have to lose by doing another album? Maybe herself and her management are scared that if it flops then it’ll just be another flop added to her resume. Hmm.
