Not only has R&B hitmaker Keri Hilson debuted a questionable new look (pictured above — ugh), but she’s also returned with a brand new, Timbaland-produced single, “Breaking Point”.

On the new tune, Keri has tried to take a page from her idol Lauryn Hill, by going for an old-school, doo-wop sound. The singer… Jesus Christ, I can’t even continue with this review. What the hell was she thinking? This is horrible. Monica could probably polish this turd a little, but in the hands of Miss Keri Baby, it’s just…. no.

“Breaking Point” is the lead single from Keri’s upcoming sophomore album No Boys Allowed, which, judging by the title, will probably be full of ‘empowering’ ladies anthems. If they’re anything like “Breaking Point”, I’ll most definitely pass.

Producer-singer-songwriter Bei Maejor is hoping to move into the spotlight with the release of his first mixtape uʍop ǝpısdn (Upside Down).

The mixtape’s first single is “Gamez” — a retro Hip-Hop tune set to the beat of old Nintendo video game samples, most notably Super Mario. Keri Hilson also lends her talents as a feature, singing with Bei on the chorus amongst a host of old-school blips and bleeps.

In a brand new video posted on the Cherrytree Records Youtube account, R&B singer-songwriter Keri Hilson can be seen professing her love Swedish pop artist Robyn, publicly outing herself as a certified Robyn stan.

“I love Robyn,” gushes Keri. “I really do. I think she’s incredible. She’s so versatile and fearless. She sometimes channels Tamia, R&B, like Tamia or Missy. I love Robyn. I love artists who, like I said, fearlessly bold and different, vibrant and soulful. I love Robyn. I just love her.”

In addition to mentioning how she loves Robyn no less than four times, Keri is also seen rocking a “I Love Robyn” badge on her jacket.

Hopefully the rest of the US follow Keri’s lead and support Robyn’s new album Body Talk Pt. 1 (which is out now), as well as her new single “Dancing on My Own”.

In other Robyn-related news, the Swedish singer has revealed that she’s been in the studio with Snoop Dogg, Kleerup, Klas Ahlund and Patrick Berger for the recording sessions for her next two Body Talk records. She also has some other collaborations up her sleeve, but she’s keeping them as a surprise for later.

R&B star Trey Songz has ditched the Hip-Hop ho’s and softcore porn to make the first classy music video of his career for his new single “Yo Side of the Bed”.

The Yolande Geralds-directed video features Keri Hilson as Trey’s wifey, who gets called to serve in the armed forces, leaving poor Trey at home to look after the baby.

Swapping the gender roles is a nice twist to the military marriage theme, and the whole video is executed beautifully with some great acting from both Trey and Miss Keri.

“Yo Side of the Bed” is currently the seventh single to be lifted from Trey’s Gold-selling third album Ready. You’d think with all those hit singles that Ready would’ve reached Platinum by now, but I think of this as more of a warm up for his fourth record, which has a good shot at being very successful.

With Chris Brown out of the picture, Trey’s label should push him internationally for the next album.

T.I. got his feet wet again with his buzz single “I’m Back”, and now he’s ready to conquer the charts again with the first official radio single from his King Uncaged album, “Got Your Back”.

The DJ Toomp production features the sexy Keri Hilson and basically sounds exactly like every other rapper/R&B female combo you’ve ever heard before, just not as good.

Besides shacking up with Miss Kery babbbbyyyyy, Tip has also hit the studio with chart topper Lady GaGa to record a RedOne produced collabo titled “Lick It”.

Other than the ladies, King Uncaged will also feature Eminem, Trey Songz and The-Dream. It’s due August 17.

I’m sure you all remember when Keri Hilson supposedly dissed her fellow R&B singers Ciara and Beyonce in her “Turnin’ Me On” remix, and then backtracked and denied it, right?

Well Ciara sure as hell remembers, and she’s addressing it directly in her new buzz song “Basic Instinct (U Got Me)”. Unfortunately CiCi decided to censor that part in the just released viral video for the song, but luckily The Prophet has an exclusive listen of the original version of the track that she never intended for you to hear.

Behind the scenes betty turned center stage star Keri Hilson has gotten her gotten her claws into Bruno Mars and Ryan Leslie and convinced them to write and produce some tracks for her upcoming sophomore album.

In case you don’t know already know, Bruno Mars isn’t just a hook singer for B.o.B. and Travie McCoy; he’s actually one half of the production team The Smeezingtons, who were responsible for the majority of the nightmare that was the Sugababes Sweet 7 album.

At the moment confident Keri’s sophomore set has no release date. It was originally scheduled for May 31 but I guess Keri heard through the grapevine that Ciara has a diss record coming out against her, so she wants to make sure her album can bear the brunt of CiCi’s fiery wrath.

Other people scheduled to appear on Kerioke’s album include Timbaland, Danja, Jeff Bhasker, Cory Bold, Drake and Polow Da Don.

Rapper Trina dusted off Paula Abdul’s 1991 career-ending MTV performance outfit for the music video for her new single “Million Dollar Girl”, which features dime diva Keri Hilson and egomaniac mogul Diddy.

The sexy clip was shot by hip-hop director Gil Green, and basically just consists of Trina and Keri looking sexy, Diddy carrying on about how rich he is, and then more shots of Trina and Keri looking sexy again.

“Million Dollar Girl” is the first official single from Trina’s fifth album Amazin’ (May 4), and I hope the fact that it hasn’t charted yet doesn’t lead to a push back becausethe album has some top notch features and collabos to look forward to like Rico Love, Nicki Minaj, Lady GaGa, Lady Saw, Lyfe Jennings, Trey Songz and Monica.

Keri Hilson’s music video for “Change Me” featuring Akon has unexpectedly leaked online.

A  while back the song was announced as the next single from Keri’s Gold-certified debut In a Perfect World, but it seemed to vanish without a trace as Keri went to work on her sophomore album.

It’s not uncommon for music video’s to be filmed and never released, a good example being “R&B Junkie” by Janet Jackson, but I think “Change Me” probably should’ve stayed locked away in the vault because it’s not particularly good, and neither is the song when compared to some of Keri’s other material which failed to receive the single treatment.

Keri Hilson’s sophomore album could be hitting shelves sooner than we all thought, with the dime diva’s label Interscope telling Billboard that they’re aiming for a Memorial Day (May 31) release date.

The album will be preceded by a new single, tentatively due in March, but if things go according to plan we could see the song even earlier.

Joining Keri’s sophomore set will be the usual suspects of Timbaland, Danja and Polow Da Don, along with some new faces including Jeff Bhasker and rapper Drake.

In case you’re unfamiliar with Bhasker’s previous work, he’s produced for Kanye West (808′s & Heartbreak album), Kid Cudi (Man on the Moon album) and Alicia Keys (Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart).

“We’re just getting into this,” says Interscope urban music head DJ Mormile. “But we already have an idea of what we want to do. This album will continue the evolution of Keri, building off the hits ‘Knock You Down’ and ‘Turning Me On,’ which helped define her. This new album will be ‘Turning You On’ times 10.”

It sounds like we could be getting the urban Keri Hilson on this album, but the success of her pop hit “I Like” tells a different story.

“There’s girls in here, it’s crazy, talkin’ bout they need a pap smear” whines Keri Hilson as she alternates between naughty nurse and slutty streetwalker in the video for Plies new single “Medicine”.

The video is utterly ridiculous, but in a so bad it’s good kind of way.

“Medicine” has so far reached #64 on the R&B/Hip-Hop singles charts, but I’m sure with such a fabulous and classy video like this one it’ll be able to reach at least #62.

Forget “That’s My Attitude”, because femcee Trina has now dropped the first official single from her upcoming fifth album Amazin’.

“Million Dollar Girl” was produced by Mario Winans & C.P Hollywood and features Diddy and dime diva Keri Hilson, who is probably returning the favor after Trina featured on her track “Get Ya Money Up”.

Trina’s always aims for crossover success and it’s no different on her new single, and with a song as good as “Million Dollar Girl” she just might succeed and score a big hit on the Hot 100. The song has a distinctly 80′s urban-pop sound which means I’m automatically guaranteed to love it, but it also means that it should go over well in the clubs and on radio.

Sorry Nicki Minaj,  but Trina wants her thunder back!
