Singer-songwriter Jazmine Sullivan a.k.a. ‘the girl that was unjustly snubbed at the 2009 Grammy awards’ will release her sophomore album this Summer.
So far attached to the project are Ne-Yo, Los Da Mystro, Ryan Leslie, Salaam Remi and soul singer John Legend.
Billboard recently previewed the album, stating that Jazmine has taken a jab at her fake friends on a song called “Blow”, and has referenced her breakthrough hit “Bust Ya Windows” on a new Ne-Yo penned track called “You Get on Me Nerves”.
The song I’m most excited about though is a Los Da Mystro production titled “Vanity Six”, which is an ode to Prince and his infamous girl group Vanity 6 with lyrics like “Just play my favorite song, get my ‘86 on/Don’t make me wait too long, just play my favorite song/I’ll get my Vanity Six on.”
Jazmines debut Fearless was great, but one look at the lineup for her sophomore album has me pretty confident that she’s going to top it.
