Fierce and fabulous at forty the original triple threat diva Jennifer Lopez was in Italy on Friday evening to perform at the 60th Sanremo Song Festival.

Jenny took the stage to perform her song “What Is Love” for the first time ever, which is set to be the lead single from the soundtrack to her new film The Back-up Plan. The performance was lip-synced but still fantastic, especially after Jen showed off her dancing skills with a mean dance break.

The 40-year-old (who looks better than most 18-year-olds) also banged out a medley of her biggest hits including “Jenny from the Block’, “Waiting for Tonight”, “Love Don’t Cost a Thing”, “Get Right” and “Let’s Get Loud”.

Jlo’s heavy (and so far unsuccessful) promotional schedule will continue next Saturday (Feb 27) when she does double duties on Saturday Night Live as both a host and a musical guest. {source: OnlineJLoFan}

Jenny’s first single “Louboutins” has still failed to make any significant impact on the charts, but it did just debut at uh… #50 on the club charts.

Meanwhile her buzz single that she didn’t even promote “Fresh Out The Oven” managed to reach #1 on the charts a few weeks back. I wonder how her next single “Everybody’s Girl” will do?

A new, presumably unfinished, song has leaked from Jennifer Lopez’s struggling sixth album Love?.

The Tricky Stewart produced “The Greatest Part of Me” has the same kind of happy upbeat vibe as a lot of the music from Jennifer’s previous albums This Is Me Then and Brave, so it should please her long time fans. The song would make a great addition to Love? and would probably slot in comfortably amongst the albums other tracks, but it certainly isn’t single material.

The majority of Love?, tentatively due this April, is so far sounding like a typical Jennifer Lopez album with the triple threat diva deciding to stick to her tried-and-tested formula and not step too far outside the box. Whether or not that’s a good thing… Well, I haven’t quite decided yet!

With her lead single “Louboutins” still failing to chart since its release in late December, could Jennifer Lopez be having second thoughts about her new album Love? Some recent comments she made to Extra below certainly seem questionable.

“I’m working on my album that will be out… hopefully this year, we’ll see if I get it done… You know how it is, you go in your there non-stop, you leave it alone for a minute and you come back – you’re like, okay, this is what I need.”

It’d be easy to take something she said out of context though, so I wouldn’t be jumping to any huge conclusions just yet.

Moving on now to some more factual information that Jennifer mentioned is that she’s still recording Love? and will spend more time in the studio with The-Dream & Tricky, and when asked who she would love to collaborate with Jlo eagerly mentioned Fergie’s name.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed for that one because a duet between Fergie & Jlo would be out-of-control, and would certainly give “Telephone” a run for it’s money!

According to a new article in CBS Love? is scheduled to drop in April so she better get to work if she wants to finish it up in time. In non-music news look out for Jennifer’s new movie The Back-Up Plan, as well as appearances on both Glee and How I Met Your Mother.

After her first single “Louboutins” was met with a poor reception by the charts Jennifer Lopez has made her return to dance-pop with her new single “Everybody’s Girl”. The song will serve as the official international single from Jenny’s upcoming new album Love?, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets released in the US soon either.

The opening of the Mike Caren produced song is reminiscent of Daft Punk, before heading in a more euro-pop dance direction similar to a more uptempo version of Leighton Meester’s “Somebody to Love” which Caren also produced.

I can also hear a lot of elements of Wynter Gordon’s sound after the singer-songwriter recently made the move to dance music, which isn’t surprising since she actually wrote the song.

“Everybody’s Girl” definitely attaches itself to the current wave of club-ready dance music that’s storming the airwaves at the moment, but the song itself is good enough to transcend any fads and stand on it’s own.

Now all that’s left is for this to become a hit because so far the only success Jennifer has seen from her new album is “Fresh Out The Oven” hitting #1 on the club charts.

The fabulous Jennifer Lopez has refused to sit idly by as her new single “Louboutins” fails to crack the Hot 100, so last night she temporarily kicked George Lopez to the curb and replaced him on his own talk show for a bit of extra promo, delivering the mandatory opening monologue that’s a staple of so many late night talk shows but is rarely ever very funny.

Now did I think that Jenny’s monologue was funny? No. Was I too distracted by her dazzling smile, voluminous hair and tight fitting magical pantsuit to care? Yes.

In other news Jennifer’s buzz single “Fresh Out The Oven” has so far managed to reach #2 on the club charts, and she’s been confirmed to appear on an upcoming episode of Glee as a lunch lady in the cafeteria.

I don’t watch Glee but I may tune in just to catch Jlo slumming it as a lunch lady!

The 40-year-old also hit back at criticism that she’s past her prime and too old to be competing with younger 20-something pop stars.

“This is what I do—what, because I have kids and a husband now I’m not supposed to be me? I’m a more heightened me if anything. Hyper J.Lo. Everything I wanted before, I want twice as much now. And that doesn’t mean material things; it means to explore more, to think more. Being an artist doesn’t start because you’re 21, and it doesn’t end because you’re 51. You are who you are until the day you die.”

I love this woman!  Now let’s just hope that Hyper J.Lo can kick in sometime soon and get “Louboutins” to chart. Any time now would be good.

Jennifer Lopez was the main musical guest on last nights New Years Rockin’ Eve Special, where she performed her new single “Louboutins” as well as her two classic hits “Waiting for Tonight” and “Let’s Get Loud”.

Jenny must have been freezing in that slinky catsuit since it was raining, cold and windy in Times Square, but she looked smokin’ hot so that’s all that really matter. Sometimes you need to suffer in order to look good!

In other news, Jenny was on the JohnJay & Rich show the other day where she confirmed a rough release date for her new album Love?, and mentioned again that several singles will drop beforehand.

“The movie’s coming out in like March or April, and the record’s around the same time. I think we’re gonna do a few singles before then.”.

That’s probably a good idea since “Louboutins” hasn’t charted yet!

The glamorous Jennifer Lopez let Access Hollywood inside the recording studio with her recently whilst she laid down vocals for her new album Love?, using the opportunity to defend herself as a singer amidst the criticism that’s plagued the star ever since she made the transition from actress to popstar.

“Finally I am a singer, this is what I do. I don’t ever have to doubt that in my mind [and] nobody can ever make me doubt that again,” said Jennifer about her voice as she reminisced about one of her past performances.

I’ve always felt like Jlo was an alright singer, but an amazing performer so I never worried to much about her vocal technicalities. What do you think, can she sing or not?

Despite lies rumours that the singer was scrapping her new single “Louboutins”, the song in fact will go on sale on iTunes tomorrow (Dec 21). Jenny will also perform it with a seven-minute medley of her greatest hits on Dick Clarks New Years Eve Special, and she’s also scheduled to host and perform an episode of Saturday Night Live at a later date.

Jennifer Lopez’s heavy promotional campaign for her new single “Louboutins” continued today when she performed the song on tonight’s season finale of So You Think You Can Dance.

With the performance being handled by the shows top choreographers Napolean and Tabitha we were in for an extravagant performance, and that’s exactly what we got. Jenny showed off her theatrical side as she came out on a giant Louboutin shoe before busting out some dance routines and shaking her famous derriere.

Don’t call it a comeback honey because Jenny level left! At least she didn’t in my delusional little world.

In other news the triple threat diva is set to perform a seven-minute medley of all her greatest hits on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve which will air on ABC on Dec 31. Sounds like everything is moving along nicely without a hitch.
