After sending stale and tasteless K-pop fans into a tailspin with their revolutionary new single, “I Got a Boy”, Gods’ Generation stepped out for their first official comeback stage (Romantic Fantasy doesn’t count tbh) on M! Countdown.
When I first played Girls’ Generation‘s comeback single, “I Got a Boy”, I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. It doesn’t sound like what a Girls’ Generation single is supposed to sound like, nor does it even remotely resemble what any commercial pop single –K-pop or otherwise– generally sounds like today.
SM Entertainment must be hella pressed over YG Entertainment’s high brand value and sales forecast for 2013, because the super agency’s been using Girls’ Generation‘s comeback to dump truckloads of shade onto the YG family.
I’m not surprised to see that the legendary Crayon Pop are now influencing K-pop’s biggest stars. After Crayon Pop wowed an unsuspecting Korean public with their underground hit, “Dancing Queen”, Girls’ Generation have now conveniently come out of the woodwork and released a song of their own titled –you guessed it– “Dancing Queen”.
