Hilary Duff was snapped yesterday attending the launch party for the Samsung Samsung 3D LED TV in New York City.

The recently engaged singer-actress, 22, is planning a return to music soon, but just announced that she’s penning her own series of novels for young adults. The first book is due in October through Simon & Schuster, and after that she’ll be writing a non-fiction book aimed at young kids coping with divorce which is due out in 2012.

Hey, if Lauren Conrad and Tori Spelling can top the NY Times bestseller list than Hilary sure can!

Also at the launch party was Fergie with her band the Black Eyed Peas, but I left out the pics of the boys because nobody really cares what they look like on the red carpet.

Fergie-Ferg and the Peas are currently in the middle of a world tour for their smash album The E.N.D., which has sold over 6 million copies since its release. Once the tour wraps up there are rumors that Fergie may release another solo album after rocker Slash said she expressed interest in doing a rock record with him.

Fergie’s pretty busy at the moment with the phenomenal success that the Black Eyed Peas are having with their new album The E.N.D., but according to Guns ‘n’ Roses rocker Slash she’s already started planning her next solo album and it may not be the shiny pop which helped her debut The Duchess sell 8 million copies and spawn three #1 singles.

“I might actually do a rock record with Fergie, because she wants to do a rock record so I might get involved with her on that. She’s got this killer rock ‘n’ roll voice.” {source}

I can’t argue with Slash there. Fergie has proved that she could rock with the best of them rock music when she covered “Barracuda” by Heart and “Paradise City” by Guns ‘n’ Roses.

Whatever she has in store for us though it’ll have to wait since BEP member apl.de.ap told Grammy reporters that the group had a new project dropping around “June-July”.

The fabulous Jennifer Lopez wasn’t the only one performing at Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Years Eve party last night, with Keri Hilson taking the stage to perform a dance remix of her new single “I Like”.

The dime diva also performed her two hit singles “Turnin’ Me On” and “Knock You Down”, whilst the Black Eyed Peas performed their hit “Meet Me Half Way” and Robin Thicke sung “Sex Therapy”.

If Keri knows whats good for her she’ll release this “I Like” remix worldwide ASAP!

Whoever said that you actually need an artist to make an album obviously hasn’t met Robin Antin before, with the plastic fantastic Pussycat Dolls creator announcing that despite not choosing the new members of her PCD brand yet she’s already hard at work on the groups third album.

Not only that, but Robin has set her sights on both Fergie and Snoop Dogg to feature on the new record which she describes as “new and fresh”.

“As far as women, I’d love to do a collaboration with Fergie,” Antin told MTV News. “I think having her on an album would be incredible and something I’ve always wanted to do.”

“You never know, maybe Snoop will come back,” she said. “He’s always someone we love.”

“A couple of the songs right now that we’re working on are absolutely incredible,” she said. “Fun and definitely like a cool, unique sound. It’s definitely new and fresh, and I think everyone’s going to love it for sure.”

So let me get this straight; the album will be “new and fresh” yet it may feature Snoop Dogg who’s already appeared on both their previous albums? Sounds about as fresh as the overdue milk in my fridge.

Instead of wasting all this time searching for new members Robin should just combine Girlicious and The Pussycat Dolls together, thus killing two birds with one stone!

51-year-old pop legend Madonna turned back the clock on Tuesday night at the premiere of the new film Nine.

The material girl was accompanied by her daughter Lourdes, who’s growing into a very pretty young woman. Just like Mummy, minus the plastic surgery!

Also at the Nine premiere was Fergie, who actually stars in the musical as a prostitute named Saraghina.

Despite the fact that wacktress Kate Hudson is in this movie it actually looks good, so I’m definitely going to check it out when it’s released in Australia.

The Queen Bee Britney Spears was snapped this week at a gas station buying a bottle of Sunkist, before heading to the Mondrian hotel to spend some time with her boyfriend Jason Trawick.

The singer is currently working on her seventh studio album, due for release next year.

Beyonce was snapped this week in New York City on a date with her husband Jay-Z.

I wonder was persona she’ll use for her next album, which is due next year. I have a feeling she’s going to be super x-rated.

Frankie Sanford from C-list British girl group The Saturdays brought a whole new meaning to the word tacky when she was snapped out partying over the weekend at a Christmas bash.

I really don’t understand what people see in The Saturdays. The only song I could ever get into was “Work”.

Fergie and will.i.am ditch the rest of the Peas for “Quando, Quando, Quando”, a cover of a classic Italian pop song which features in Fergie’s new film Nine.

I don’t know what this infectious Italian-flavoured pop tune is doing hiding away as some random cut on a soundtrack when it’s good enough to be a single on it’s own. Fergie’s voice seems to have significantly improved during the Black Eyed Peas latest album, and this song is a great way of showing off her vocal growth.

Maybe it’s time that Fergie got back to work on another solo album?

The Black Eyed Peas were guests last night on Saturday Night Live, where they performed their hit singles “Boom Boom Pow”, “I Gotta Feeling”, and their latest smash “Meet Me Halfway”.

Not only did Fergie look amazing, but she also sounded incredible to. I thought her recent show stopping performance on the X Factor was a bit of a fluke, but vocally she really takes it to the next level during “Meet Me Halfway”.

The huge note at the end was killer! I love the BEP but I can’t wait for Fergie’s next solo effort.

Spokesmodel/Singer Beyonce and her huge entourage of bodyguards  let loose on Friday night and partied it up at London’s Kanaloa nightclub.

After getting tired of partying the diva headed back to the Mandarin hotel where she reportedly had to book an extra room just to hold her luggage.

She looks cute. I hope she didn’t drink too much because she’s on tour at the moment.

Music mogul and occasional rapper Diddy was out with friends and security running a few errands in L.A.

The 40-year-old is getting ready to head to Vegas for a wild weekend, where he’ll be watching the fight between Manny Pacquaio and Miguel Cotto.

BEP seem to be everywhere lately. One minute they’re in London, the next it’s Paris, now they’re back in New York. It must get so tiring.
