NEW MUSIC! Slash Feat Fergie & Cypress Hill – Paradise City

Rocker Slash has enlisted pop star Fergie and stoner rappers Cypress Hill for a remake of his Guns ‘n’ Roses smash hit “Paradise City”. The song is a b-side from his upcoming solo album Slash ‘n’ Friends, which is due for release in March next year.
Whilst this doesn’t top the original I have to give Fergie props for doing the song justice. Her voice sounds right at home amongst Slash’s rocky guitars, suiting the genre a lot more than the usual pop and dance music she does. Cypress Hill add a trashy Kid Rock-esque vibe to the song, but it works.
This cover should allow a whole new generation to discover the classic “Paradise City”, and if Slash picks his collaborations carefully he could end up with a huge solo album, pleasing not only the older fans but also a whole new younger crowd.
