For a minute it looked like Cassie’sElectro Love had been thrown on the scrap heap, but during her recent trip to Paris fashion week with boyfriend Diddy, Cassie indicated that the album was still going ahead by telling a reporter that it will be “more pop than R&B”.
The singer-model, 23, also performed a show at celeb hotspot The VIP Room to celebrate the opening of fashion week.
If you’ve been following the leaks from Cassie’s sophomore album you’d have noticed that there’s been a lot more pop than the chilled R&B from her Ryan Leslie produced debut. The latest delay in the project is probably due to her move from Bad Boy to new label Interscope.
I see that Cassie still hasn’t learned that she sounded the best when she was doing R&B with R-Les.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from, or even seen singer-model Cassie, who’s been harder to find than a needle in a haystack ever since she deleted her Twitter account a while back, but this week the stylish star decided to come out of hiding to attend Paris Fashion Week with her main man Diddy. {pic source}
The 23-year-old was still rocking her infamous half-shave, but now she’s added a blonde/brown color to it.
I can’t believe that this is the first time that she’s even been photographed out. If she really wanted to she could be be an Amber Rose or a Nicole Richie and not actually do anything, but still be popular and famous just for landing in fashion magazines and tabloids. I guess she’s just not really into fame though.
I don’t have any new info on her album, but it seems like she’s continuing her modeling career because she recently did a photoshoot with hip-hop clothing label Diamond Supply Co.
Cassie & Nicki Minaj leave nothing to the imagination on a fiery new leak titled “Fuck U Silly”, which popped up on Nicki’s latest mixtape but is actually from Cassie’s Electro Love recording sessions.
Cassie’s always been known for her sensual sound but this time she’s turned it up a few notches to the straight-up explicit, showing off a more aggressive side of herself which is probably a good idea since a lot of people have been telling Cassie to up the tempo for a while now.
The song is clearly very rough and unfinished at the moment, but it’s still easy to hear the potential that the song will have once it’s completed.
Poor Cassie, she’s going to be recording this album for another three years if the songs continue to leak at this rate.

Cassie (seen above in a fierce new promo pic from her Twitter) has enlisted DJ/Writer/Producer Clinton Sparks to produce several records for her new sophomore album Electro Love.
The two previously worked together on the the Chester French/Clinton Sparks mixtape Jacques Jams Vol.2, where Cassie played the role of the fictional character Chloe Jones on one of the mixtapes skits.
Clinton Sparks has also written & produced records for Akon, Ludacris, Colby O’Donis, and Notorious B.I.G. He’s also currently working on Beyonce and Leighton Meester’s upcoming albums.
Don’t expect Cassie’s Electro Love any time soon though, because according to her Twitter Cassie’s still in & out of the studio writing and recording. I can’t wait for her songs with Clinton Sparks though, and her recent “Sky Diver” leak sounds like she’s really starting to perfect her new sound.
Cassie kept up with her weekly tradition today of having her music leak online, bringing the total of Electro Love leaks up to 12, 343, 000.
“Right Time” was recorded in early 2007 and produced by Ryan Leslie as part of the first recording sessions for Cassie’s sophomore album. It’s definitely got that smooth R-Les sound and you can tell that her original second album was going to be very similar to her debut (which is definitely good thing).
Call me crazy but I get the feeling that Next Selection has started leaking all her old music online. Perhaps they have a point that they’re trying to prove or something?

My girl Denise alerted me today to this interest blog entry by Next Selection consultant Steve Graham, which seems to have been triggered from a recent song of Cassie’s that leaked online last week titled “Shakespeare” (listen above).
Next Selection of course is Ryan Leslie’s music-media company to which Cassie (formerly known as “the princess of Next Selection”) is signed to and released her debut album through in a partnership between the company and Bad Boy Records. Anyways check out the blog post below.
Cassie – Shakespeare
I love Cassie no matter what they say…
can’t believe all these demos leaked. her 2nd album was going to be crazy
Word, Ryan played me some joint with Brandon Hines on it, some joint called “Better Off Apart” or something, and another insane un-vocalled beat by Mario Winans.
That album could have been fucking INSANE. However, apparently everything was shutdown by…
Any guesses who the mystery dot-dot-dot person could be?
Cassie has now been working on her sophomore album since 2007. Originally she started off with Ryan Leslie on the track “Sometimes” which was the first official song from her sophomore recordings, before then heading into the studio with Swizz Beatz, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, B-Cox, and Darkchild. There was even talk at one point of getting Lenny Kravitz on the album.
Shortly after rumours began to swirl that Cassie had given Ryan Leslie the cold shoulder for Bad Boy boss Diddy, and the two were spotted by paparazzi getting cosy on several occasions. With Cassies new relationship came a brand new sound and a host of new producers, including Danja, Eric Hudson, RedOne, Akon, The-Dream, Surf Club, and Fernando Garibay.
So why don’t we have an album yet? To say that there’s no interest in the project would be a lie considering that Cassie still makes front page news on the gossip and music blogs despite the fact that she only has one hit to her name which is now almost five years old. UK newspaper The Guardian even ran an article on Cassie’s leaks and missing sophomore album under the title “Cassie’s unreleased classic”.
Now it’s almost 2010 and all we have to show for the 23-year-olds current career are three failed singles, almost thirty leaked songs, some nude photos, and a love triangle complete with accusations from Ryan Leslie himself that Cassie unexpectedly cut all ties with him, the man who made her a star.
If Cassie hadn’t mixed with business with pleasure would things be different? Will an upcoming move to Interscope Records help salvage what’s left of the Electro Love project, or has too much damage been done?

Singer-model Cassie has taken to her twitter to address the state of her new album Electro Love which has been subject to a severe song leakage problem, with the most recent issue taking place last week when over ten new songs, demos, and remixes hit the net.
Fyi 2 my fans, a bunch of songs did get leaked the other day. Sorry 2 let you know they were all made 3 years ago & will not b on E. Love
A quick look through my playlist tells me that between 20-30 songs have already leaked online from the recording sessions of Cassie’s sophomore album. What do you think she’ll do now that she’s moving to Interscope? Will she continue recording new material, or dig deep into library or songs that have yet to leak online?
All I can say is that she’s lucky she had Diddy to foot the bill for her studio time because Cassie would easily be in debt otherwise, and realistically I don’t see her recouping the money back from her record sales.

The music industry’s worst kept secret Cassie & Diddy were snapped in NYC last night leaving the Waverly Inn. Cassie left first with a bodyguard, followed by Diddy one minute later. Who are they trying to fool?
In other news, rapper Red Cafe has confirmed that Cassie will be moving to Interscope Records soon after Diddy inked a new deal with the label.
“He has a new situation at Interscope. For Dirty Money and Red Cafe and Cassie. The names that I just said, I don’t know about anybody else. I know about those three names. I think Atlantic made money with [Day26] and they liked them so they kept them. That has nothing to do with me. Oh, it’s about to go down. Major. It’s going down big…Shout-to Puffy, he doing his thing.”[source]
That’s great new for Cassie, but what is she going to do about Electro Love? Well over twenty songs have leaked from her sophomore album recording sessions. Maybe she should drop an official EP or Mixtape or something so she can officially release the material and still give us something fresh on the actual album.

Things aren’t looking good for Diddy’s girlfrend Cassie at the moment, with over ten new songs from her Electro Love recording sessions surfacing online today. The leaked material contains demos, remixes, and finished tracks, and features production from Darkchild, Ryan Leslie, and more.
The leakage is sure to come as a blow to to the 23-year-old singer, who’s been working on her sophomore album Electro Love for roughly three years now.
The good news however is that despite being unfinished most of the material is top-notch.
Check out three of the leaks below and let me know what you think of the music, and more importantly the future of Electro Love. I’ll add more leaks as they appear on YouTube.

Rihanna hit the clubs yet again late last week for another release party for Rated R in New York City.
Despite poor expectations Rated R has managed to crack into the top five on the Billboard charts, coming in at #4 with 181k.
Speaking of Rated R, has anybody looked through the booklet? I was in the record store earlier today and I was flipping through the book and basically every single page has a picture of Riri’s tiddays or azz!
It looks like singer Cassie has got herself a good weave because her shaved head was nowhere to be seen when her hairstylist tweeted a photo of the two on the set of a new photoshoot earlier today.
Do you think Cassie just covered up for the shoot, or is this going to be a permanent thing? Personally I love the shave so I hope she goes back to it.
Cassies ex-BF Ryan Leslie was snapped out & about last week at the Twin Spirits premiere.
If you’re a fan of R-Les you can catch him this Wednesday on the Mo’Nique show performing a ballad from his new album called “I Choose You”. Ryan’s going to be accompanied by a string quartet so it should be good. [source]
Miley Cyrus a.k.a. the girl who’s never heard a Jay-Z song in her life was snapped earlier looking sexy at the Jingle Bell Ball in London where she’ll be performing.
The 17-year-old was another victim of this years Grammy awards, failing to receive any nominations despite racking up a number of hits including “Party In The U.S.A.” and “The Climb” (which was nominated but Miley wasn’t).
If you’re looking for your Miley fix then check out Timbalands new album Shock Value II, where the singer is featured on a track called “We Belong to the Music”.
Last but not least was my girl Jordin Sparks who was also at the Jingle Bell Ball with Miley Cyrus.
The 19-year-old is about to release her new UK-only single “Don’t Let It Go to You Head” soon, with rumours swirling that “It Takes More” will be released in the States.
Whatever she releases she better do it soon because the momentum of her new album Battlefield is almost gone completely.
Something tells me that we won’t be seeing any more music video’s from this era, just a few promo singles that get sent to radio and fail. It’s a shame since I think her new album is very solid and much better than a lot of other pop albums out right now.
