Listen: Adrienne Bailon takes a stab at an 80′s classic.

Lord knows what happened to Adrienne Bailon’s supposed solo career, but it seems like her jealousy over bandmate Kiely William’s stunning smash “Spectacular” has driven her out of hiding long to record a cover of the 80′s hit “Wonder If I Take You Home”.
Originally recorded by Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam, the song hit the top forty of the Hot 100 and topped the dance charts back in 1985 when it was released. You may even recognize some of the lines from the track which have been sampled by the likes of Black Eyed Peas (“Don’t Phunk with My Heart”), Kylie Minogue (“Secret (Take You Home)”), Fabulous, Angie Martinez and more.
Bailon has kept the song fairly close to the original, only adding Wu-Tang rapper Ghostface to spice things up a little. It’s a pretty good cover and it sure as hell beats the monstrosity that was “Superbad”.
The 27-year-old singer is due to release her “R&B Hip-Pop” album sometime this year, which will contain collaborations with Ne-Yo, Estelle, The-Dream, Darkchild and more. (thanks Common).
