Adam Lambert performs in Australia and releases new song “Voodoo”

Posted in New Music, Performances on March 8th, 2010 by The Prophet

Adam Lambert is in Australia at the moment on a crazy promo tour to promote the international release of his debut album For Your Entertainment, and earlier this week he stopped by Australia’s biggest morning show Sunrise (which is hosted by the two biggest birdbrains in the country, Mel & Kochie) to perform an acoustic version of his single “Whataya Want From Me”.

I was totally going to stalk Adam when he was in Sydney but I was too shy to go see him, even though he was doing a record signing like ten minutes from my house!

Anyways you can catch the glamorous one on TV this week performing on the first episode of the new series of VH1 Unplugged, which you just know will see him rehashing that old “Mad World” performance.

Glammy also has a new song called “Voodoo” that leaked over the weekend and is a bonus track from the international version of For Your Entertainment. It’s a sexy, space age. electro stomper that was co-written by “Black and Gold” singer Sam Sparro, and it’ll be released in the US soon as part of a new remix EP that Adam is releasing.

Check it out below.

Adam Lambert performs “Sleepwalker” on Jay Leno

Posted in Performances, Uncategorized on March 3rd, 2010 by The Prophet

Adam Lambert decided to give his new single “Whataya Want From Me” a rest last night on Jay Leno, instead deciding to perform the Ryan Tedder produced Battlefield “Sleepwalker” from his debut album For Your Entertainment.

This was another one in a long line of fantastic performances for Glambert, proving that his disastrous AMA’s fiasco really was just a one-off mistake.

Another thing that makes his performances so good is that he’s always singing something new instead of rehashing the same old songs all the time. The fact that he’s showcased a lot of material from his album on shows like Oprah and AOL Sessions has probably helped contribute to the strong sales of For Your Entertainment, which has no sold about 550k and been certified Gold.

Glambert’s current single “Whataya Want From Me” is currently climbing the Hot 100, reaching a new peak this week of #28. Next up for the single treatment is the Max Martin produced “If I Had You”.

Adam Lambert thinks Susan Boyle’s music is “horrendous”

Posted in Beef, News on February 23rd, 2010 by The Prophet

Susan Boyle may have sold over 8 million copies of her debut album I Dreamed a Dream and made fans out of everyone from Lady GaGa and 50 Cent to Oprah and Snoop Dogg, but one person who doesn’t love Auntie Susie is American Idol Queen Adam Lambert, who’s debut album also happened to be released on the same day as Susan’s back in November.

“If only it weren’t for Susan Boyle! I’m happy for her success, but that album is terrible,” he told Gay Times.

“‘Wild Horses’ is the one that made me laugh the hardest. I just died when I heard it, I was crying with laughter. It was the most horrendous, sacrilegious treatment of that song!” he said. {source}

LEAVE SUSIE ALONE!

Just for the record my Mum is a die-hard Rolling Stones fan and see’s them live every single time they come to Australia, and she’s been a Stones fan for a hell of a lot longer than Glambert has, and even she likes Susie’s cover just as much (if not more) than the original.

Susan’s album isn’t as bad as Adam is making out and obviously the general public agree since it’s sold over 8 million copies in a time when it’s a big deal just to make Gold or Platinum.

I think Auntie Susie should record a diss track and hit back at all her haters!

Adam Lambert and Kelly Clarkson confirm their next singles

Posted in News on February 21st, 2010 by The Prophet

American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert has confirmed that the next single from his Gold-certified debut album For Your Entertainment will be the Max Martin produced “If I Had You”.

The song is the follow-up to “Whataya Want From Me” which has so far reached #31 on the Hot 100 and is still rising each week.

Meanwhile after a lot of deliberating the winner of the very first American Idol Kelly Clarkson will release “All I Ever Wanted” as the fourth single from her album of the same name. The song will hit radio in March.

Both songs are great choices and I hope they do well on the charts. You’ve probably already heard “All I Ever Wanted” by now so check out Glambert’s “If I Had You” below instead.

AMAZING! Kris Allen, Allison Iraheta and Glambert perform Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy” live in NYC

Posted in Performances on February 13th, 2010 by The Prophet

American Idol season 8 contestants Kris Allen, Allison Iraheta and Adam Lambert, or “Kradison” as they’re now known, performed a concert at New York City’s Highline Ballroom on Friday night.

The show included individual sets from all three Idols, but fans at the venue were treated to a huge encore when Kris Allen, who was closing the concert, brought out Allison and then Adam to sing a cover of Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy”.

During the performance Allisons vocals almost blew the house down, whilst Glambert did his usual on-stage showmanship and Kris rocked out on his guitar. If these three ever start slipping on the charts (well two of them already are) they could form their own band because this performance rocked!

Adam Lambert performs on AOL Sessions

Posted in Performances on February 12th, 2010 by The Prophet

Glamor Queen Adam Lambert performed a mini-concert for AOL sessions recently, singing a few new songs that he hasn’t really rocked out to publicly yet.

In addition to his new single “Whataya Want From Me”, the glamorous one also performed “Soaked”, “Fever”, “If I Had You” and “Strut”.

Whether you love him or hate him you can’t say that he can’t sing. Well, actually you can if you saw the AMA’s, but he makes up for it here!

SNAPPED: Adam Lamberts star studded birthday bash

Posted in Candids on February 4th, 2010 by The Prophet

American Idol Queen Adam Lambert celebrated his 28th birthday at the Mondrian ADCB bar in Hollywood last weekend, and now we have some fabulous photos of the party that give us a glimpse at how the glamorous one lets his hair down.

Roughly 170 guests showed up to the shindig, but the ones you can see in the photo’s here include Carmit Bachar formerly of the Pussycat Dolls, Lindsay Lohan, Samantha Ronson, Sam Sparro, Slash, Ferras, Alison Iraheta, Idol creator Simon Fuller and record label king Barry Weiss.

Looks like a lot of fun, but who let Lindsay Lohan in? Security!

Adam Lambert was a guest on Ellen’s popular daytime talk show today where he performed the much-publicised ”Strut” from his album For Your Entertainment.

Speaking of his album Glambert’s debut disc just had a major sales increase of 61% thanks to his recent performance & interview on Oprah, with HitsDoubleDaily reporting that it’s set to jump from #34 to #20 on this weeks albums chart.

His new single “Whataya Want From Me” has also been doing well and has been consistently rising on the charts each week, with the Oprah appearance expected to boost the songs position when the next Hot 100 chart is released.

PERFORMANCE & INTERVIEW: Adam Lambert on Oprah

Posted in Interviews, Performances on January 19th, 2010 by The Prophet

In a welcome change from the sleazy dance-pop of “For Your Entertainment” and the broody rock of “Whataya Want From Me”, Adam Lambert decided to try out some new material on Oprah today by performing his song “If I Had You”.

The screeching high-pitched voice you got to know and love on American Idol was back as Glambert strutted his stuff across the stage whilst Oprah danced and sung along in the audience.

Glambert is lucky that he’s the only gay male mainstream popstar out right now, because it’s really helping him get a lot of high-profile gigs such as the Rolling Stone cover and now an appearance on Oprah.

Thank God he has the talent to back it up.

You can also check out the full interview below. Adam looks cute and talks about the usual stuff like being gay and meeting Madonna, but he also touches upon some new things such as being lonely and coping with the pressure.

SNAPPED! Whitney Houston / Christina Milian / Adam Lambert / Taylor Momsen

Posted in Candids on January 16th, 2010 by The Prophet

Whitney Houston was spotted looking a little wild on Friday afternoon as she arrived in Washington DC for the taping of the BET Honours event.

At the moment the diva is gearing up for the release of her third single “Worth It” from her Platinum certified album I Look To You.

I would’ve preferred that she released “Call You Tonight” next, but I’m sure that “Worth It” will do well on the R&B charts.

Looking pretty as a pregnant picture Christina Milian posed for photos in a pre-Golden Globe gifting suit which was giving away baby related goodies, so you can almost guarantee that C-Milli probably left with a lot of stuff for her new kid.

Adam Lambert’s new found macho look in the “Whataya Want From Me” video didn’t last long, with the glamorous one returning to his trademark emo hair and heavy make-up at the VH1 Critics Choice Movie Awards.

Is it just me or does everyone else also think that he looks way cuter when he ditches the face paint and puts his hair up?

Aspiring rock star Taylor Momsen looked like a heavenly angel on crack crossed with Courtney Love when she was snapped hocking  the latest perfume from Victoria’s Secret “Love Rocks”.

Taylor and her band The Pretty Reckless recently released a buzz track titled “Make Me Wanna Die” online. It’s actually not bad so it’s worth checking out, and it’s actually a rock song as opposed to the Avril/Ashlee pop-rock you’d expect from her.
