SNAPPED! Britney Spears silences the critics at sold out Melbourne show
After becoming the centre of a media storm after one Perth journalist savaged her first Australian Circus concert, pop star Britney Spears took the stage last night in Melbourne for the first-of-three sold-out shows determined to prove her critics wrong.
After the first show was finished, Melbourne’s biggest radio station Fox 101.9 encouraged listeners to call in and participate in a poll to see if the negative media attention Britney had received was justified.
95% of callers insisted that the show was fantastic, and that there were no problems with Britney’s performance skills, no reports of anybody walking out, and previous claims that the jumbo screens weren’t broadcasting the show were false.
Chrissy from Brighton said “I think it’s just all the papers just making a big deal. They’ve been picking on her since she left the airport.”
Renata from Noble Park said “I have to say I did not see one person walk out. Everyone was on their feet dancing.”
Natalie from Somerville said it was “one of the best concerts I have ever been to.”
However, despite the overwhelmingly positive feedback Melbourne newspaper The Herald Sun savaged the show and managed to find several fans who labelled it a waste of money and time.
Sounds like the media being their typical selves by picking on Britney. That will never change because they’ve torn her apart since day 1, even when she was at her peak they always had something bad to say.
There’s been absolutely nothing bad to say about Britney since she made her comeback because she’s been so controlled and private, so the media have had to make up things because Britney isn’t giving them any juice. When people are still picking on her for lip-syncing after she’s been doing it for 10 years then you know they’ve run out of ideas!
Nothing but respect & admiration for a single mother to be doing what she does!

Exactly what Iwas thinking, people NEED TO RESPECT this woman. I cant think of ANYONE who went through s public breakdown, losing kids, hea dshaving, being a single mom and coming back THIS HARD. I dont think anyone worked as hard as Britney did to get her kids back, her career bakc on track and making the biggest comeback in music history. Gotta give it her and on top of everything, she gives the best tour of the whole year. No one can take her down and she is probably gonna SHUT everyone down who arent satisfied yet, with the next album and tour.

I know Toya is an undercover Britney fan, but she bitches about her every now and then, I’ve never heard her defend Britney.
TGJ isn’t a hater when it comes to Britney, they’re just realistic. What on Earth do her concerts have to offer? She can’t dance and she can’t sing and that’s the end of it!
She still puts out some decent stuff though. I’ve listened to Circus a lot this week, with my own tracklist including the bonus tracks (minus Rock Boy) because they were all amazing.

Still don’t think her hearts in this, her father is pretty much handling most of these things. In The Zone was one of her best albums, and was when she had most of her life together and well it looked like she was working hard for her money.
If there was one artist that I would pay money to see dance but lipsync it would be Janet Jackson.
