Santigold signs to Roc Nation management.

We haven’t heard much from Santigold in a while now, but the alt-rocker came out of hiding yesterday to make a big announcement — she’s switched her management over to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.

Other artists managed under Roc Nation include Wale, Rihanna, The Ting Tings, Mark Ronson, and Melanie Fiona. Sugababes were also managed under Roc Nation, but they were dropped after Keisha was fired and they flopped.

This marks the second time that Santigold has worked with Jay-Z, after the rapper sampled her song “Shove It” for his hit “Brooklyn We Go Hard”.

Santi is currently working on her sophomore album, due out for release sometime this year.

good for her but is it good for her career too? roc nation may have the money but the right promotion isn’t really their thing.

YES i love her :D I’m sure Roc Nation can’t do any worse promotion wise than whoever was managing her before, it’s not like she was promoted to the mainstream.

Looking forward to new music from her soon :)
