Rihanna’s working on her next album with a bunch of people

Of course Rihanna is working on her next album. Releasing lots of albums is her thing. It’s not a problem when they’re really good like Rated R and Loud, but when they sound like Daffy Duck pushing five watermelons through his urethra like Talk that Talk did, then it becomes an issue.

Here’s some people she’s apparently collaborating with on her next disc. I compiled it through tabloid reports and tweets from said collaborators.

  • Marina and the Diamonds’ boyfriend and pal of Calvin Harris BURNS, who is currently also working on the new Kelis album.
  • Dutch DJ Nicky Romero, Bonnie McKee, David Guetta, and Songwriter/engineer Kelly Sheehan. They all spent the day in the studio working together, and finished two songs.
  • Possibly Sia. Following his work Guetta and McKee, Romero tweeted a photo of himself the next day with Guetta and the Aussie songstress, while Sia also tweeted that she was “writing smashes for pop starz” at the same time.

Rihanna has also revealed that she’s planning to launch her biggest world tour yet in 2013, so it looks like her next era will be slightly less half-assed than Talk That Talk was.

“We Found Love” was close to being the best pop single of 2011, so if you’re pissed about RiRi coming back so soon, console yourself with the fact that she’s at least going to drop a really good single. You don’t need to bother listening to her more-than-likely shitty new album. Just say no, and listen to Kelis and God$ha instead.

Well if she’s serving another “LOUD” then I can get with it.

Oh goodness. I hope all the people that make her music sound good don’t let a bunch of awesome songs slip through their fingers and for some insane reason put a bunch of mediocre/bad songs on this new one.
Dear Prophet, can you do a post about how Loud is twice as good as Talk That Talk even with 3 less songs on it (talking about deluxe of TTT) and how Loud and Rated R are incomparable but both are equally brilliant in there own separate ways?
    If you have time please…….

  • TLo

No David Guetta or RedOne please. Thanks.

I thought Marina still was with the guy from Hurts… the ugly one.

  • AdamAL4

Sia! The second best thing to her releasing music is the unveiling of songs she wrote #yourfavescouldbutnotasepiclyandamazinglyasshedoes

  • Popblock

Hopefully she’s got her issues sorted. Talk That Talk was just a huge mess, from album, to promotion, to performance’s etc.

As much as I hate to say it “We Found Love” really confirmed her status, I’ve given up and embraced it.

but when they sound like Daffy Duck pushing five watermelons through his urethra like Talk that Talk did, then it becomes an issue” –> DEAD!!!! You’re still the best Proph LMAO

Ugh, why won’t she GO AWAY!!!! So bloody overexposed…

I LOVE Talk That Talk actually. Her second best album, behind Good Girl Gone Bad.

    C’mon Loud’er part II!
She needs to not bullshit this one…I’m about to drop her ass if she doesn’t let me have it. TTT had great songs but this era has been a hot mess. Plus her hair game wasn’t on point! Can’t wait for the new hair color, style ;)

  • Anon

I would rather these producers used the leaked audio of Britney on Xfactor to create an album TBH.

  • Trish

umm Talk That Talk is infinitely better than Loud, in fact Loud is a piece of shit.

Best songs on Loud: What’s My Name, Only Girl, Man Down, Skin

that’s it! the rest is either awful or plain mediocre.

Best songs on TTT: Where Have You Been, We Found Love, Talk That Talk, Cockiness, Birthday Cake, Watch n Learn, Drunk on Love

Even Roc Me Out is hot, despite being a Rude Boy rip-off.

And let’s not forget Fool in Love, aka the best ballad from Rihanna’s whole damn career.

    Talk That Talk > Loud

    FACT

God I never really noticed how plain this chick is until I seen that pic above she kind of looks like the mother alien on “alien”. Anyways, she is annoying, if she comes out with decent stuff like she did on the “Rated R” album I’ll be interested, if its the same pop crap “eh eh eh” then she can call it a wrap.

talk that talk totally ruined rihanna for me. LOVED we found love, hated the rest of the album. it’s lost, i don’t care about any of those producers now and i keep thinking about the time these western bitches are wasting working with the same boring people over and over again instead of flying to south korea and trying some sessions with awesome gods like shinsadong tiger and brave brothers.

    usual delusional

  • Trish

which part of my comment do you think is delusional? because from the way i see it, i actually EXPLAINED my opinion, whereas you just gave a mindless response.

stop mimicking proph and get your own opinion.

  • slaynna

i also heared she was working with swedish house mafia, their like my fave house due aff al time i cant fuckin wait!!!

  • RihannaLover

I don’t think it’s a new album! Most likely a re-release. Her deal with DefJam is over and no news on new deal so it doesn’t add up! She’s touring soon for TTT so she can’t possibly release a new album! I’ll need confirmation from her for me to believe this. I call BS for now! Rih girl, I am still popping my cakes to TTT. I need Watch N Learn, Do Ya Thang, We All Want Love and Farewell to be singles!

  • :)

wa is dn dees voor een onzin, als ge toch wil luisteren naar dr nieuwe album doede da tog, prophscheet, wa bende toch een randdebiel

  • :)

    hou uwe bakkes

  • http://twitter.com/ThatBoyLuke Luke

I’m guessing that this album is gonna be more dance orientated than “TTT” then, I’m not even mad since Rihanna makes amazing dance songs. If she is intent on laying annother egg… I mean dropping another album she better just leave off “TTT” now because I need at least a SEMBLANCE of a gap between this album and the next.
Also can she try to not be such a blatent whore with the next album, I like Sexy Rihanna but “TTT” was like herpes to my ears although I’m not gonna pretend I don’t play “Cake” when I’m feeling like that hahaha

  • http://twitter.com/ThatBoyLuke Luke

If it’s regular shitty David Guetta I agree, If it’s the rare and elusive amazing “When love takes over”/”Titanium” David Guetta I’m all for it, Redone though… um… no.

  • http://twitter.com/ThatBoyLuke Luke

I love how “LOUD” is still more expensive than “TTT” to buy here lmao… “TTT” is on sale for £3.00 and I still never bought it.

  • http://twitter.com/ThatBoyLuke Luke

um… Aren’t the guys from Hurts twins?

  • Kevin

Good for her working with some new people! David Guetta she has worked with once before and every one else will be the first time! Bonnie Mckee can you say number 1 hit?! Bonnie has done wonders for Katy ,Britney, and Ke$ha so Rihanna could definetly can get a hit with a track(s) penned by her. Wow @ Nicky Romero I know that song will be a majah EDM banger! And Burns will give her some grimy electronic dub-step material.I love to also see work with Red One, Dark Child, and collaborations with Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Neon Hitch, Sabi, etc.

  • Kevin

I really want to see her next album be a full Dance Album,She sounds real good on Dance songs! PDSTM, Disturbia, OGITW,S&M,Complicated,WTC, WFL,and WHUB were all hot and catchy!

  • animasaurus

Rated R was so fucking flawless she needs to go back there. “Russian Roulette” and “Te Amo” are still my favorite Rihanna songs.

  • http://twitter.com/KidGeorge92 M!иL0

I honestly think that Loud was the better album. Talk that Talk was a step in a good direction but it was severely rushed and is giving people a reason to number her days.

I don’t mind that this chick puts out an album yearly.. because I love her music. As talentless she is, she puts out great music! Especially the fact that I go clubbing a lot, I expect to pop my pussy to some good dance tunes and she puts out GREAT dance tunes. I’m looking forward to her work with Sia and Guetta. Sia writes good music and I love the work she did for Xtina. Can’t wait!

  • xxx

i agree, even though “who’s that chick” is still hot

  • ballsarestillitchy

Looking forward to BURNS working with Kelis

  • Adam Rysio

I agree, we ain’t buy the R&B Princess RiRi

  • Adam Rysio

I think she missed her time to become an album artist when she fucked up Talk That Talk. IMO her popularity seems to be winding down now so I don’t see how she will ever be able to stop being the singles queen. Bring on the D. Guetta and RedOne, she is only good for singles anyways!

  • TLo

lol Rihanna could never pull that kind of song. She has a very limited vocal range.

  • http://twitter.com/SirLordJ Jeff

Can’t wait to not like what she releases then love it three weeks later. Also LOUD isn’t all that great it was kind of all over the place and not in a good way. Talk that Talk just sounded rushed like they had two good songs for a re-release, but decided to just tack on some filler and release a full album. Rated R now that was a good album that sounded like an album not a collection of half-finished pop songs.

  • sk116

    yeah nederlands ;p

  • D M

I want to believe that all this rush and moving on to the next album is all being caused by her label. I just want to see Rihanna REST. PLEASE. She deserves it. At least 6 or 8 months. I do not know whats with her and constantly moving on to the next album. After “Loud” it would of been great to take a break. But if she didn’t then she would not had nothing to do half this year expect promoting her movie.

  • Kevin

Producer Red One just confirmed in some Swedish News Paper Interview that he is working with Rihanna on 4-5 songs with only two of the best making the album! And where is this Swedish House Mafia info coming from never heard it,hope it’s true!

  • http://twitter.com/superextrahot Mada

I though Marina Diamandis’ boyfriend was Theo from Hurts… Not Burns…

  • Alex K

Cockiness is a fucking mess. Talk That Talk’s only good songs are We Found Love, Where Have You Been, and Birthday Cake. Talk That Talk is okay. Roc Me Out is a Rude Boy ripoff, as you said, and the ballads are a snooze-fest.

I like every song on Loud except Cheers. I really regret missing that tour; it’s my favorite Rihanna album and I love a lot of the songs, especially S&M, Raining Men, Man Down, and Love the Way You Lie Part II. I was hoping Talk That Talk would be more like Loud…but it wasn’t.

  • Alex K

The Talk That Talk era has been a trainwreck. She needs to get her shit together and release an album full of hits, like Good Girl Gone Bad or Loud, or get the fuck out. Talk That Talk was totally unnecessary. Should have been a five-song EP (We Found Love, Where Have You Been, Birthday Cake, You Da One, Talk That Talk) and a few remixes (S&M Remix and a couple of remixes of album tracks from Loud) tacked onto Loud, for Pt II. Like a Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection, only, you know…good.

  • gottagetaway

    yes, yes and yes.

  • Typical!

True-but Rihanna wouldnt be Rihanna without Pon De Replay, Umbrella, Rude Boy, What’s My Name, Man Down. It shows versatility and makes her the artist she is

  • braidboss

    love RIRI

  • Jay

    So tired of her

    You Da One flopped
    Talk That Talk flopped
    Birthday Cake- Flopped
Where Have You Been- Decent but still flop

She needs to take a year or two off.
