Rihanna’s “Rude Boy” to impact US radio this Feb

There’s been some speculation over what exactly the next single from Rihanna’s Rated R will be, but now it’s now been confirmed that the island jam “Rude Boy” will be released in both the US and the UK with other territories to follow.

The song will officially impact radio on February 9th, which should give Robo’s current single “Hard” time to play out as the song is still sitting comfortably in the top twenty of the Billboard hot 100 after jumping back up to #15 this week.

I love the cheeky sexed up lyrics and island-meets-urban sound of “Rude Boy” so I hope it’s a bit hit for Rihanna and helps re-stablish her as the singles Queen.

In other news Rated R has now officially passed 500k so expect a Gold certification soon.

    i am the only who sees this song going no where?? personally i feel hard was a better song and it never cracked the top ten..maybe the matt addition will push it further…def a re-release in the future..BTW RIAA puts rated RR at 497k or something like that..cant remember the real figure!!..

    omgggggggggg.just read perezhilton does not OWN his blog..he sold it like in 2007 and he has been the face for it..i think it was part of the deal..i knew he did not write on it anymore but never knew he sold it..woop!!

    i seriously think she got lucky with Good Girl Gone Bad, Rated R is no where near GGGB. The only single i’ve liked so far is Hard, and some of the songs on this album are so OTT, G4L ‘i lick the gun when i’m done cause i know revenge is sweat” come on! are you serious?

    there is no way this is the same girl that released Music of the Sun, and A Girl Like Me, but which is the manufactured star?

    I agree. That song in particular is not her at all & she know damn well she never even seen a gun & they ain’t nothing gangsta about her back then or now. But I personally feel that she is manufactured now & the “Pon De Replay” star is dead & gone.

    I just read the same news about Perez and the blog. There are court papers and litigation records to back up the claims. It’s all a big mess about the use of the name “Perez” for an anti-Perez Hilton site called perezrevenge.com or something like that.

    I would love to see how far this goes publicly, because I think this is the year that the celeb gossip blog craze will probably undergo a major shift.

    Omg thank god cuz I love love love that song. I really hope it’s another number one for her. I also hope rockstar 101 becomes a single! Those maybe be my two faves off the album and G4L.

    Read the documents. All it says is that perezhilton.com is not in his name, but rather is owned by an limited liability company created by some sort of partnership.

    Basically it looks like he created an LLC for legal protection. If anyone wants to sue perezhilton.com they can’t sue him, instead they’ll have to sue the company he created, and he won’t be personally liable for losses.

    That’s a smart business move.

    thanks prop, i never read the docs..lol.. but will do so now…just went for the juicy part..the thing is even if he created an LLC that does not negate the fact that he could not own the blog…the fact that you raise the term partnership just raises my brow a bit…i am not really versed with company law but if he was still the only owner of the site he could have gone for a sole proprietorship type of LLC..he is still be protected but everything is 100% still under him…why create a partnership type of LLC??? what would be his reason???

    With LLC’s one of the main advantage is that profit sharing is flexible…you also can have many owners/members as they call them and not limited to individuals…

    ok i so what am i saying, just cause he created this company does not make him the major shareholder in the LLC partnership..From what you just said, alreay the blog is now owned by the LLC meaning perez is automatically no longer the SOLE owner.. the blog now belongs to him and the other members/partners..depending on how much stake he has he could be in the minority and from what i gather that is the case..he got paid a million bucks in 2007 for it…i could be guessing as i have not read the docs and my company law is not good at all but that is what i am assuming is going on…remember as i said before, profit sharing in the LLC is flexible and perez is still part of it..he still has obligations to do i.e promote the site as its face… i am not sure how the deal was stuctured but if it is some sort of partnership LLC, mario is def no longer the sole owner..if he does business as the owner and he is not, that is a problem…
