Rihanna Set for Double No. 1 on Billboard Charts, Beyonce Put on Suicide Watch as a Result
People like to make a huge deal about how Rihanna has never had a No. 1 album before, and by “people” I mean pressed as phuck Beyonce stans who are slitting their wrists over Rihanna’s forever skyrocketing success while Beyawnce’s career now resembles a turd in the toilet that just won’t phucking flush. I don’t know what the big deal is, though. Of course RiRi doesn’t have chart-topping albums — the bitch releases a new one every week, and it takes the masses a moment to realize that she’s got something new out in stores. At the end of the day, they still sell a few milli each and produce about twenty No. 1 singles apiece, so Fenty stays winning and y’all stay phlopping.
Annnnnyway, not that it matters that much, but Rihanna is finally set to top the Billboard 200 with her latest mac ‘n’ cheese disc, Unapologetic. According to Hits Double Daily, the ratchet record is on course to sell between 240k-260k, making it the highest first-week sales of her career.
On top of that, “Diamonds” just snoozed all the way to No. 1 on the Hot 100, making it Riyawna’s twelfth chart-topper. She broke a new set of chart records with this one, and you can read about ‘em all over at Billboard.
By the way, for all of you rihquesting my RiRi album review, it should be up this weekend. However, I’m having a drunken BBQ at the park on Saturday with my homegirls, and since the weather will be nice and the food will be fatty, I’m gonna get phucked up and drunk text some old flames, so if I’m incapacitated for the entire day then the review may be pushed back til’ Monday.
