Rihanna: “My new album is unbelievable!”

Megastar Rihanna is still riding high on the charts with her Rated R album and smash single “Rude Boy”, but during a new interview RiRi couldn’t contain her excitement over her upcoming fifth album, unexpectedly gushing over it while discussing Rated R.

“I’m so excited for you guys to hear what we’re about to work on, and what we are actually working on now. It’s in the very early stages, but we have some stuff that’s so unbelievable. It’s sooo good! Like I can’t wait for you guys to hear it.”

Unfortunately the Bajan babe didn’t elaborate on a release date, just cryptically insisting “soon, soon”.

Rihanna’s still got another Rated R single in the works with “Te Amo”, and as of now her current Last Girl On Earth world tour isn’t wrapping up until late August, but speculation has pointed towards the new album possibly dropping before the years end.

So far Sean Garrett, Ne-Yo & Stargate and Taio Cruz have been penciled in to work on the album. Timbaland, Rico Love and Jim Beanz are also collaborating together to create some hits for RiRi, with Beanz stating that her new album could be “one of the best things” he’s ever worked on.

The morning after the “Rockstar 101″ video premiered I suddenly woke up a huge Rihanna fan. After not really caring about her for months she’s suddenly my new thing, and I love Rated R now, so I’m pretty excited for the next album. Love her or hate her, but RiRi always brings the hits!

Hope she could bring another “Umbrella”! Coz that’s a super duper smash hit of Hers! I’m not very fond of Rude Boy! & Rockstar 101 has a great MV (but not the music)

  • http://twitter.com/FUTURESTARdelux FUTURESTARdelux

didn’t she say that about “Rated R” which for the most part is lame?
“Rockstar 101″ has a good video but the song is boring, i still havn’t managed to listen all the way through lol
Having said that before it was rinsed out i did like “Rude Boy” and if i’m drunk enough theres a 50/50 chance i may still get down to it in a club lol
I do like Te Amo though, hope she goes more mainstream again, alternative isnt whare it’s at for her.

    rated r is underrated

its really an evolution for riri
she combines different styles and some songs on it are really big

her voice is different, but i like it…and i think her record voice is nearly the same as her live vocals…sometimes her live vocals are even better

  • Lisa

Bout time you gave ‘Rated R’ some love. It is her best body of work yet. While I’m not a fan of RiRi live, her music, style and videos are amazing. This is Rihanna’s ‘Stripped’ just less autobiographical and Christina Aguilera said she enjoys RiRi’s music, especially her ‘Rated R’ album.

  • goons

her next sales will be unbeweavable too..girl needs to climb under a rock or go away…she reached her peak with GGGB and its downhill moving forward!!! jlo part 2..

  • den

    lol Rihanna’s ‘Stripped’, hardly.
Still not a big fan of this album, preferred GGGB, although Rude Boy is probably my favourite song from her.

  • dracomason

Now that you mention it,why all the hate for Te Amo on the Pop Panel Proph?

  • Rap*

I cant wait. Its gonna be hoTTTTT.
She doesnt play it safe and i love it.

  • didi

whatafuck are yall talking shit up there??!!

  • didi

and also i saw an interview (a frence radio show) on youtube and it was on david guetta and he played a song on his iphone and its sounds like rihanna and everybody says its rihanna!
he played it just for like 10 seconds and it was
    H-O-T!
i really hope that its rihannns song and it gonna be on her next album!

  • dracomason

Since now you’re a Rihanna fan,Prophet, what r ur favorite songs from Rated R?

  • ImHighPrice

    @xxx
“Rated R” is NOT underrated! WTF?
    ————————————-

Anyways…she just needs to STFU & let the music speak for itself instead of saying it’s “unbelievable” when her last album was anything but…with the exception of “FireBomb”.

  • dracomason

    yeah,rated r was not underrated,that’s for sure
    more like the opposite

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfRNRymrv9k marymag

    welcome to the good side!!
it was underrated..ppl were used 2 more poppy ri, and pop music in general,as u can see by all the artists selling out 2 pop music like ciara, then a more “dark” ri.

  • BAM.

This is really music to my ears :D …I LOVE Rated R it’s her best album to date hands down! She gave us Pop, R&B, Rock, Hip Hop, Dubstep, and a lil Salsa what more could you want or ask for?! She’s always pushing forward and never looking back soo innovative LOVE her! :D

CANT WAIT FOR THE NEW MUSIC!!! But after this next album she better take a lil break dont want her turning into some people that shall go unnamed(you know who they are).

  • What What

Rated R is a great album and a great followup to GGGB’s last single Disturbia actually. It is very solid with a lot of great tracks….which required risks and guts…its funny as I used to not like G4L and now I even like that one.

    Russian Roulette
    Cold Case Love
    Stupid in Love
    G4L
and ofcourse Rudeboy are all nice tracks
Rockstar is a bit repititive for me and Te Amo is ok. Overall it is an enjoyably different album and kudos for her to continuing to take musical risks.

Looking forward to see the direction of her next album.

  • divatude

    next

  • BAM.

    ^^^^
but yet you still check’n for her and you probably love Rated R POSER..smh!

  • Tony

I really didn’t like the girl until Rated R.

I hope we don’t get another GGGB. This album is awesome.

  • Anony

    @ didi

yeah i saw that interview with david too. And that track was just DA BOOOOMB.Can’t wait to hear that in full hq (even if it’s not rihanna, but I think it’s her)

  • BAM.

    The David Guetta track clip.

I love the little bit I can hear.

  • Typical!

Wow Proph-i’d never thought i’d see the day-she has her flaws but Rihanna is just the firebomb and you can still like your other faves like Britney etc. Wow-i’m still in shock u said that :)

  • http://www.twitter.com/killsill Sill

Nice picture! But I hate it when artists do this: “I can’t wait for you guys to hear it” Why do you say that when I DO have to wait to hear it. Goshh! …But I am excited :P

  • barf

    I love “rated r.” riri won’t disappoint.

  • Curtis

    YEEEAAAH PROPH!!!! :)

  • Kami

    Ugh, not you too. :(

  • dracomason

    @marymag
at first I thought Rated R was overrated actually.
All the reviews have been compaing it to Chris Brown’s album and vice versa.I mean Graffiti got 1 star out of 5 reviews.Even if you didn’t like the album, you cannot possibly rate it that low.U could tell they were not judging the music,no matter how much of a Chris hater you are.And then Rihanna got 4 out of 4 or 4.5 out of 5 stars reviews all of a sudden.Critics were lauding Rated R and at the same time dismissing Graffiti as pure trash,a disgrace to music.
At 1st listen I didn’t like Rated R.I thought that it had to be the most overrated album of the year. But then it grew on me.Yes,there are still tracks that annoy me more than Heidi’s screeching on Twisted (which i now find bearable to good) like Rockstar 101 and G4L.But the album as a whole is really good.Surely,it’s not perfect as some critics make it out to be but it’s a solid effort

  • Da Vinci

@dracomason Come on now you know Graffiti was not a good album. It seemed like they rushed to complete it to compete with rated r (which was not a good look on his character at all).

Plus many critics stated he totally ignored the elephant in the room meaning instead of doing wat ri did with rated r and translate his feeling in his music he choose to party in club with transformers and Rihanna2.0 Eva

  • Electric

I’m hyped!!!!!!!, It sounds like this album is going to be E P I C !

  • http://christinaaguilera.com Synchorotical

i love heidi montag than rihanna. Heidi’s album is the underrated. I’m serious.

  • http://www.theprophetblog.net The Prophet

    Heidi’s album >>> Rated R.

  • http://christinaaguilera.com Synchorotical

i actually liked superficial than all of rihanna’s album. Im also a die hard fan. She should do another epic album with the right music videos and promotion and leave her husband. (sorry for posting heidi montag comments on a rihanna poll.)

  • http://christinaaguilera.com Synchorotical

    i mean post

  • dracomason

    @Da Vinci
I honestly think Graffiti was a good album.or decent at least.Out of the 20 songs on the deluxe edition,I cannot stand 3 tracks (Brown Skin Girl,Take My Time,Famous Girl). Those 3 are unbearable. But there are also really great songs there, especially the ballads, where he doesn’t mention clubs and stuff.
So Cold,Crawl,Lucky Me,Falling Down and even the disastrous Famous Girl did what Rihanna did in Rated R.And Chris Brown was the writer of the songs, unlike Rihanna. So there goes your point
    Anywayz,as i stated before,I love Rated R now.Cold Case Love,Te Amo,Fire Bomb,and Hard are my favorites.
btw I love Heidi’s album too.Don’t get me wrong,I do like Twisted,it’s just that the 1st time I was listening to it,I wanted to throw my iPod at the wall

  • Roab

This is my thing with Rhianna..Rated R minus Rhianna is good album. The lyrics and production are on point. Her voice makes my ears bleed! Please no more!!! Please…
