RiRi was being a too cool for school superstar at some restaurant in West Hollywood, before strutting outside to her limo to head to the Record Plant Recording Studio, where she spent two hours – presumably laying down tracks for her fifth album.
Meanwhile, her label SRP Records have confirmed that there will be no more singles from Rated R released. Instead, they are focusing on Rihanna’s next album era, and are hoping to have her first single out by “the end of Summer”. According to my calculations (that I copied from Wikipedia), that would mean her new single could drop around August-September.
Rihanna always brings the hits, so I can’t wait for the new record. I’m still sore that neither “Te Amo” or “Rockstar 101″ didn’t chart in the US though. What’s that about?

Now, Photographs, could’ve been her next #1. Shame she went with Rockstar 101. Very shocked Te Amo didn’t atleast get to the Top 20.
“Hard” is officially released in the UK 21st August, so I’m guessing early-to-mid September?

OMG IKR, Britney took 6 months to record Circus and has been recording her new album since Sept 09……neither album was/is rushed.
Rihanna is constantly releasing albums or re-releases……..prefect example would be when I thought Unfaithful was from her 1st album because she released both albums so close

Te Amo really went to waste it’s a great song (one of the only 4 good tracks on the album) and should’ve been released in the US and properly promoted!

for real, every song on Rated R could have charted and been another hit, but they have to draw the line somewhere and move on to a new project. i think RiRi is ready to move on from the darker elements and get to partying again.

what can u expect? none song alternative dubset is sucessful that’s why Rockstat 101 never chart (exept in club charts) and Te Amo was released just for other country not USA..in anyway I can wait to heard her singing club banging records I mean I love all this dubstep/rock/alternative/serious feel of Rated R but now she look all happy and glowing that not seens like she is in Rated R era anymore, so I can’t wait to heard new stuff I hope she finally release that sythpop(disturbia)/pop-rock(shutupandrive)/electropop(breakin’ dishes) album that she promise before Rated R coming out cuz that are amazing songs and also I hope to heard her work with Tyler from All-American Rejects.

Te Amo wasn’t even released in the US so it couldn’t of charted here…it was a moderate hit in some European countries though…anyways, she really needs to take a break from music, people are getting tired of her
i love Riri, but i kinda think ppl are going bored with her. You can only flaunt your flawless face and sickning style so many different ways until ppl are like “ok Riri, we know ur gorgeous, we know u can dress”….but idk her last 2 singles were kind of predictable. It didn’t really turn any heads here. Rude Boy and Hard did…but not Te Amo or Rock Star 101.

I don’t know if “Rockstar 101″ was even promoted at all besides the music video and “Te Amo” wasn’t even released in the U.S. Furthermore, her concert sales are getting bad because she already
cancelled 6 concerts due to low ticket sales.
I don’t know if they are rushing with a new album to keep up with the electropop girls or hoping that it will reinvigerate her career, or both. I don’t know if people are getting oversaturated with her music, because I mean it will be 5 albums in 5 years?!?!?!? I don’t which artist has ever done that in the past 20-30 years.
We’ll see if the new single will be infectious as “California Gurls” or be a moderate success like “She Wolf” and the album and subsequent singles be unsuccessful.
