Rihanna confirms “Te Amo” as fourth Rated R single!

Rihanna’s official fansite RihannaDaily have confirmed that the singer will release “Te Amo” as the fourth official single from her latest album Rated R.

To kick off promotion for the song, RiRi will perform it live on Tuesday’s episode of American Idol.

“Te Amo” is the follow up to Rihanna’s current mega-smash “Rude Boy”, which has just scored it’s third consecutive week at the top of the Hot 100. My guess is that the label chose “Te Amo” as the next single because it’s the only other Rated R track that has an island sound to it, and they’ve obviously now figured out what RiRi’s winning formula is.

“Te Amo” is a passionate and exotic summer jam about a young woman who’s attracted to another female, but the the object of her passion doesn’t seem to feel the same way. Could we perhaps get to see some sexy faux-lesbian innuendo in the music video? A little lesbo love will be a nice change from the robots that Rihanna’s been getting her rocks off with lately.

    All these arguments are getting ridiculous. This “rihanna vs. ciara vs. beyonce vs lady gaga” mess is so out of line. Appreciate music for what it is instead of throwing around numbers, salty performances and comments like “this person is more talented than the next.” everyone brings their own qualities to the game, just leave it that way. Names like “ci-error” and “rih-tard”? Congratulations. Your use of elementary school insults have certainly made you seem clever. Note the sarcasm. So what if some people like a certain artist over another? Tossing around insults isn’t going to change their opinion.

    Anyways, I think Te Amo is going to be great single. I’m looking forward to the music video :)
