Lotus for me has everything for each person. Those ballads are amazing. Sing For Me, Best Of Me, Blank Page are my favs. Army Of Me is amazing too. She makes music for her fans and they love it to be honest. Yes the sales are bad and she’s not promoting at all but there’s no denying this album is the best of 2012. The comment below me says she gives a woman a bad name? No. Shes always been giving women a good name. Comfortable in her body,sexuality. I think shes a great example and she has hell lotta haters. So this album is also dedicated to them.

Her big voice is not the problem, the problem is she screams random high notes all over the place. None of those high notes are even supported and those high notes are really painful to hear. I’m not hating on Christina, I do like her voice but as a singer, it annoys me how she abuses her vocal cords like that. What’s more amazing is how her vocal cords are still functioning!

I agree with every word! Red Hot Kinda Love & Just A Fool are the standouts.

“Bionic” may have been all over the place but the ballads & the deluxe tracks made up for all faults. “Lotus” could have done with a few more ballads imo.

I thought Xtina’s career when she first started was going to go the way of Celine/Mariah/Whitney and she would still be around 20yrs later and relevant. Unfortunately she has become the Cyndi Lauper of this generation–a talented vocals with bad career/song choices but unlike Lauper, Xtina’s attitude is what has done her in. Proph you hit the nail on the head regarding this review, the album is nothing to run home about and I’ll doubt it will sell 400K in the US but its not a tragedy…however cant believe you left out “Best Of Me”.

She will never please everyone, Nor will everyone understand her journey. But if you listen to her music it sounds like she loves MUSIC and that’s why she has given us so many different sides of her musically. She’s an artist some people need to understand/remember that.
