Release date and collaborators confirmed for Shock Value 2!

Rap-Up have confirmed that Timbalands new album Shock Value 2 will officially drop on November 24.

Confirmed collaborators on the project include Justin Timberlake, Lady GaGa, Shakira, Kings of Leon, Miley Cyrus, Daughtry, The Fray, and Paramore.

The first single will drop later this month, and will feature Timbalands new French artist SoShy.

Hmm, sounds interesting. I’m glad he has a lot more rock-based features this time around, but I think he could’ve chosen some better ones. They’re all great don’t get me wrong, but they’re all younger based and radio friendly. I know Timbalands thing is making slick amazing commercial records, and he does it so well, but he should’ve shocked us with something more alternative for at least one track.

I’m also not looking forward to the GaGa joint because it’s way too obvious and she’s really over-exposed at the moment. I’m sure the album will be great though, just like the first one was. I’ll definitely be picking this one up as soon as it hits stores.

Hmm i am actually glad Britney isnt working with timbaland, remember when britney rejected the help of Timbalaned when he was so popular and Gimme More came out(produced by Danja, timba’s protege) and timba dissed the song everytime he got the chance.. I guess jealoisy is a bad thing and I;m Glad britney chooses to do different douns than everyone else, cause Timba’s beats are recycled 90% of the time.

Sounds wack as hell and what is up with all the teenyboppers on there? I’m surprised he didn’t add Taylor Swift. Hasn’t he collaborated with JT enough and GaGa needs to sit her ass down somewhere. I was hoping for Gwen, Christina Aguilera, Drake, Katy Perry, Kid Cudi, B.O.B., Lykke Li, Maroon 5, now that would be a hot record. Not looking forward to this new album.

Also, didn’t we hear he worked with M.I.A and Santigold as well? Damn, looking at this…it just looks like he worked with all artists that are currently on the radio. Not throwing any shade on any of them, but I expected Tim to not be so mainstream with it. I’ll reserve judgment till I hear some of the music. For all we know, he could have picked these artists and used them for very experimental sounds!

Not gonna lie, I’m slightly disappointed with the collaborations. The thing that took the last album to the next level was the fact he used undiscovered artists like Keri (before she blew up) and She Wants Revenge. He like only picked the most famous & popular artists out there. WAY too safe.
