RaNia perform “Dr. Feel Good” and cover Destiny’s Child — are actually talented.

Rookie girl group RaNia have been making a lot of headlines in the 24 hours since they debuted; both for their skanktacular image, and their work under US producer Teddy Riley (Michael Jackson, Lady GaGa), who is planning to launch them in America and Asia.
The girls had their debut showcase for the media today, and much to my surprise, it turns out that they’re actually very talented. Their first performance was of their saucy first single “Dr. Feel Good”, and it contained all the sleazy humping and coochie popping from the song’s music video. They lip-synced this one, but their choreography was remarkably precise, and even better live than in the video — it was still all stripper moves, but they performed like strippers who put in the hard yards at pole dancing school.
Next, they surprised the crowd by singing a cover of the Destiny’s Child ballad “Stand Up For Love”. This was an obviously a move to show the press that they can actually sing, and it worked. Their Engrish was quite good, most of them delivered very strong vocals, and they harmonized beautifully, which I think was the most surprising part.
Apparently they went through two years full training in singing, dancing, and acting, which explains why they’re so good.
So now we know that RaNia are hot, slutty, and talented. All they need is a version of “Dr. Feel Good” that doesn’t sound like an old Danity Kane B-side, and they’ll be set!
