RaNia perform “Dr. Feel Good” and cover Destiny’s Child — are actually talented.

Rookie girl group RaNia have been making a lot of headlines in the 24 hours since they debuted; both for their skanktacular image, and their work under US producer Teddy Riley (Michael Jackson, Lady GaGa), who is planning to launch them in America and Asia.

The girls had their debut showcase for the media today, and much to my surprise, it turns out that they’re actually very talented. Their first performance was of their saucy first single “Dr. Feel Good”, and it contained all the sleazy humping and coochie popping from the song’s music video. They lip-synced this one, but their choreography was remarkably precise, and even better live than in the video — it was still all stripper moves, but they performed like strippers who put in the hard yards at pole dancing school.

Next, they surprised the crowd by singing a cover of the Destiny’s Child ballad “Stand Up For Love”. This was an obviously a move to show the press that they can actually sing, and it worked. Their Engrish was quite good, most of them delivered very strong vocals, and they harmonized beautifully, which I think was the most surprising part.

Apparently they went through two years full training in singing, dancing, and acting, which explains why they’re so good.

So now we know that RaNia are hot, slutty, and talented. All they need is a version of “Dr. Feel Good” that doesn’t sound like an old Danity Kane B-side, and they’ll be set!

    @TNN

Lol I know and their debut performance is TOMORROW on M Countdown.

Even the most tame girl groups like Sistar get in trouble on these shows, so I don’t know what the hell RaNia will do…

    I really like these girls.
I’ve been pumping Dr Feel Good in the gym all day!

I was doing my research yesterday and apparently Dr Feel Good and the other track they recorded were originally submitted to Gaga.

The only problem I have with these girls is their personalities are so bland, I find that with most K-pop girls. They are great at putting on the act of an entertainer but outside of that so many of them lack personality.

Big Bang and such seem full of personality where as so many of the girls… blah.

  • TheMusicProphet

I believe we’ve already seen this act in America. It was called Danity Kane. No wait, Pussycat Dolls.

OH WAIT…. neither was successful! PCD and DK bombed with their last US releases … They may have top 10 singles here or there… But none have longevity….

These Korean girls will fail hard in th USA…

I have to admit though … I may hate this music, but these gurls are HOTTT

I am a converted Narsha fan, I’m getting slight crazy vibes but I think the medication is working!!

The production on K-Pop tracks is amazing, they really master pop production.

As for the pic, your gonna have to settle for my cum catcher pic. I have a photoshoot Friday, maybe I’ll throw in a surprise wang shot Friday post!

In french “Raniania”=” vaginal bleeding” LMAO.
I suppose they dont know they are refering to female menstrual cycle …..

Anyway i prefer more mature sound like “Moody Night” from BEG,or “it hurts” from 2NE1.I dont like Kpop noisy music.

I like them, they did have an 8th member, a Chinese girl but she got cut at last minute??

The girls have everything; but is it enough to survive both the US and Korean markets? They will be great in Asia and elsewhere. US though, the sound and image can work but US just dont like it if they dont come from their own backyard
