[Preview] Girls’ Generation – Cheap Creeper

BoA‘s American film debut Cobu 3D has been languishing in post-production hell for well over a year now. As if it wasn’t hard enough knowing that there’s a movie out there starring the world’s hottest oppa Yunho that we’re unable to watch, anticipation for the flick just increased tenfold with news that Girls’ Generation have a new English-language track called “Cheap Creeper” featured on the official soundtrack.

A portion of the catchy electropop tune was recorded by a sneaky SONE at the recent KCON USA convention, and as expected from all things Girls’ Generation related, “Cheap Creeper” is 110% free of all flaws.

It’s one of the sassiest things that the girls have ever done, with the Divine Nine blasting a poor scrub with an endless string of quote-worthy barbs.

You only wear cologne that comes in the sample size!” quips Tiffany. “You’re actin’ like a Justin Timberlake when all you are is just a fake guy livin’ witcha mommy!” adds Sunny.

Yes! SNSD better stan for JT!

According to IMDB, Cobu 3D isn’t coming out until July of next year — and that’s only in Netherlands, Norway, and Denmark — so we’ve got a long wait ahead of us until “Cheap Creeper” is available in all of its full and complete glory.

Until then, we’ll just have to enjoy the snippet and get geared up for the Divine Nine’s new Japanese album. Who knows, maybe if we pray hard enough to the K-pop gods, “Cheap Creeper” will make it on there as a bonus cut.

Not bad, but kinda boring? A good middle eight would make all the difference, though. I wonder if their English album will ever get released…

Why “ever”? They hinted their english album for next year after their japanese tour, so its alright isnt it?
The song is alright but I’m waiting something amazing for their real american debut ;)

The song is ok but wow their English sounds so much better on this than The Boys. They don’t sound like their Asian doing english music. However I hope this song isn’t an indication of what they will be doing sonically on their debut english album.

I like it! I personally feel some serious 2008 Circus-era Britney vibes with some splashes of their “Run Devil Run” and Goldfrapp’s “Ooh La La” (of course). Solid & fun.

Also where’s the new “Miss A” MV and mini-album post? My gut feeling is that this new mini-album could push “Miss A” to a new level of popularity…
