Pink premieres awesome video for awesome song “Try”
Just when you’re so bored with Pink that it’s impossible to even make it through one uninterrupted spin of The Truth About Love, she goes and outdoes herself with some kind of crazy athletic stunt that leaves you with no other choice but to bow down at her muscular feet.
It took endless radio rape for Pink’s Two Door Cinema Club knock-off “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” could really grow on me, but her rock ballad follow-up “Try” was instant love from the first listen. The music video just dropped, and it’s better than anyone could’ve ever expected — especially after that flop “Blow Me” visual.
Pink takes her gymnastic tricks up another notch in the clip, busting out an incredibly difficult contemporary dance routine that would leave any other pop diva in a neck brace and a hospital bed if they ever dared try it. With that said, this was already done by Shakira in “Did It Again”, but Pink does it better and without the aide of a body double.
Pink is on another level when it comes to performance. Even when her music stagnates or her lame rebel attitude becomes too annoying to bear, her sheer skill as an entertainer is still enough to leave you in awe. It’s sad to see that her contemporaries, especially the ones that don’t have a shred of her vocal talent, don’t put in even 1% of the effort that Pink does when it comes to bettering herself as a performer.
