Pink performs “I Don’t Believe You” live on Oprah
The human sprinkler Pink decided to leave the acrobatics at home during her recent appearance on Oprah, instead pulling out her acoustic guitar to perform the ballad “I Don’t Believe You”.
The song is the fifth single from Pink’s Funhouse album and so far it actually hasn’t done that well chart wise, but that hasn’t stopped the album from selling almost 5.5 million copies worldwide.
Not only that, but Pinks Funhouse world tour has already managed to gross well over $100 million, and that number set to go higher when she embarks on the Funhouse Summer Carnival tour across Europe which includes several stadium shows.
Pink may have had a slight career lull after the release of her third album Try This, but ever since then she’s just gone from strength-to-strength. Will she slow things down after her new tour wraps up, or will she just keep on going without a break like Beyonce?

Did someone say Certified Flop?
Over $100 million grossed from her RECORD BREAKING tour, nearly six million copies of Funhouse sold, and the standout performance from the Grammy Awards.
You mad?
Nearly 6 million? Bullshit.
Standout performance? Pisht. More like lipped performance that is better suited to Cirque De Soleil.
Record Breaking Tour? Touring Australia for several months in a caravan, aka white trash.
You mad? Nope, are you?
One thing Pink is good for is actually making quality music everybody can relate to! She continues to outdo herself with each album.
@ R- are you hatin cause somebody actually outdid Beyonce for a performance?
Well Pink has said that she is n no hurry to make a new album so we probably not goin to see another album from her n a while
who is this ‘R’ person polluting this page?
the performance wasnt lipped you moron.
and she didnt tour australia in a caravan; it was a ute. get it together.
r for retard much?
and on beyonce’s performance: man, that was painful. she clearly had seen lady gaga and pink in rehearsal, shitted her pants, and decided that she needed to give her performance some drama.
so overdone. i hope alanis morisette tracks her down and pisses on her leg. blasphemy.
LMFAO!!!
i love this song! @R and i can’t believe u’re calling pink a flop!
first of all:-
(i don’t believe you) is number 60 on itunes which means it’ll chart next week and will get higher with promo!
(glitter in the air) is now 10 on itunes and was even higher a couple of days ago and the grammy performance is the TOP selling video on itunes right now! which also means it’ll chart and very high on the charts too!
Second Of All:-
(So What) is now certified triple platinum in the states!
(Sober) is platinum!
(Please Don’t Leave Me) is almost Platinum!
do you know how huge that is from ONE album?!
Last But Not Least:- The album sold 5.5 million copies and is still selling! (number 6 on itunes right now! it’ll diffently be Sales Gainer on the charts next week!)
@R i don’t know who ur fav is but if u think that selling 5.5 million copies is a flop, then i seriously wonder what a smash hit is!
Rather ironic that the Mariah fans knows so much about not being a flop. lol
Pink is not a flop cause it still went plat in the USA!all her albums are plat stateside and multiplatinum worldwide! She has a solid fanbase so I wouldn’t be worry bout her anytime soon and she never disappoints with the music and Try This is one of my fave albums anyways!
R is clearly retarted.
I like P!nk but when is she gonna finish up with the Funhouse era. I really think that album campaign had lost momentum after she released Please Don’t Leave Me in January ’09.
Oh and P.S. Prophet, P!nk released Bad Influence in Australia so I Don’t Believe You is technically her fifth international single.
Pedantic, I know.
Pink is so damn underrated, she’s one of the best selling artist of the last decade, actually she’s sold much more than Beyonce who is considered “the queen”, but yet she doesn’t get the recognition she deserves
What i still can’t understand is how Funhouse has sold more than I’m Not Dead which is much better and the singles were more succesful
I’m happy P!nk has been able to have longevity in her career. She came out around the same time as 50 cent and Avril Lavigne, etc and they had MUCH bigger debuts than her, but she’s outlast them. she is soo NOT a flop. she’s one of the hardest-working women in show biz.
@mike,
um idk about all that because being able to gross $100 million from one tour is pretty rewarding. no, she might not get all the awards and praise that Beyonce receives but I don’t think everyone wants that. especially not pink, she’s doesn’t even seem to care. her stats speak for her, not the media.
oh please R! don’t bring Mariah’s Name into this! U obviously don’t have a clue about mariah’s iconic history in music! if u need a lesson about that all u gotta do is ask
but untill then i’d just rather u admit that pink is not to be labeled a flop cuz this post is actually about her!
who cares about charts???..only reason she never charts high is cause she never gets spins like the regulars who get overplayed to death and dnt sell shit…after the grammys that song went back to being number 5 on itunes..her album went back to being in the top 10 with just one performance.. girl is beast but just does not get the recognition that her huge profile requires!!
I love this song I won’t lie. I see the Stains (typo and it stays) of the wig crypt are here again to throw shade at any female artists whose name doesn’t rhyme with “fiancee.”
I’m a P!nk fan, and have been ever since she was on her r&b tip when Can’t Take Me Home came out, but She gripped my soul when she came out with M!ssundaztood as the bad girl/rebel with deep rooted issues. She lost me with albums three and four, but she caught my attention with Funhouse. It was a very good album. And yes, her Funhouse tour was the 5th best selling tour of 2009 by a Non-vet (like U2 and Madonna) after spending 4 months in Australia and a 2-part European leg and 10 shows in the US (none no where near the South BTW)
I feel like she’s an underrated artist as well, but after reading her interviews it seems like she wants to stay that way. She claims she doesn’t want to be over-exposed and oversaturated in the media. Which is fine because it seems like she’s fairing very well compared to many of her female counterparts.
@Proph – I heard that she said she’s not gonna record anymore (at least not a full length album) because she “has nothing to say.” *side-eye*
Pink really matured on this last album. Her performance at the 2010 Grammies was breathtaking.
R why are you messing with Pink! Pink runs this town, she may not have all the grammies and such but, Pink music will live on forever because homegirl has classics! Unlike many other artists out there! I just became a Pink fan last year and after watching live shows on Youtube I can say that people are sleeping on Pink.
Pink is 0ne Awes0me chick she doesnt ever change and stays real…after all thats what made her a star its all ab0ut music
I love this song its definetly my fave track on funhouse. I was surprissed she didnt perform it at the grammys. Anyways it all turned out great with glitter in the air, cuz i never paid much attention to that song, now all of a sudden i love it too. funhouse is an amazing album, although Im not dead is my fave p!nk album. Shes amazing
How did I know that R was a Beyonce fan? Only a pressed stan could be that delusional.
i just remember that pink can also dance her ass off i really love pink now i do think she is underrated .
Years ago I seen Pink in concert ( with other artist on the show too, Pink, Mya, and some other people) and baby she brought it. I wasn’t a Pink fan like that, but she stood out in her performances and I was like Wow I am a fan now.
I am an aaliyah fan hardcore and always will be!*with that said p!nk has become my caucasian aaliyah!!*i became a fan with there you go back when i was n 9th grade and honestly i have never bought any of her albums because part of me didnt wanna be disloyal to babygirl but after watching p!nks perfomance at the grammy with glitter n the air i was so awestruck because i felt that i havnt seen an artist who brought the voice with the “performance” since aaliyah and the very next day i went and bought all her albums and glitter in the air was on repeat all nite i fell asleep 2 it!!*i adore p!nk and respect her 4 being true to herself*having a beautiful voice that brings soul to the words she puts out*having songs that r relatable and classic!!*and she above all keeps it real and the “fame” and appeal of “fake grammys” and greed has not taken over her soul and that is what i feel aaliyah embodied as well!*i know very well that p!nk is NOT aaliyah and vice versa but 4 some reason i feel that its now OK to like and adore another artist!*and p!nk is IT!*p.s* i was happy 2 see that she r.i.p aaliyah n her mizunderstood album cover so that really sealed the deal!!*and i also see that p!nk is extremely underrated BUT n this bizness thats a blessing id take p!nk and aaliyah under appreciated classics all day everyday over overratted*untalented*greedy*false icon diva whos name ryhmes with fiancee!!*LMAO!!*xoxoxo
Just because she hasn’t whored herself out to the point of over saturation [*cough cough Beyonce cough*] and has instead made a career out of speaking her mind and making music that actually matters vs. hooking up with whatever producer was “in” to pop out some insta clone, sugary turd guaranteed to hit #1, by no means makes her a flop. The fact that she’s been able to not only successfully switch genres, but survive in this industry for nearly a decade says alot to me.
But people can’t compare Pink & Beyonce; they’re on two different playing fields. Beyonce was the more talented of a 4 girl group [later, famously, becoming a 3 girl group] before going solo; Pink was also in a group, but not one with the fame or ka trillion records sold to build off of. She made a career when bigger & blonder titans were taking over the world.
At the end of the day there’s only three contemporary pop artists [as in, came to fame in the 00's] I respect: Christina, Kelly, and of course Pink.
——–
And for anyone who doubts her skills, listen to the following songs:
Just Like A Pill – from M!ssundaztood
Who Knew – I’m Not Dead
Lonely Girl – from M!ssundaztood
Waiting For Love – Try This
Long Way To Happy – I’m Not Dead
Save My Life – Try Life
If you can still somehow say she isn’t amazing after that, then you know shit about music.
^^^Also, all of her albums have gone platinum in the US; even Britney can’t say that
Pink is a beast I’m really not sure why she doesn’t get her fair share of respect here in the US.
^^^That should be: “Save My Life – Try This” btw
Funhouse has been doing really well chart wise–it has spawned three hits and is almost double platinum here in the US–and she did it by letting the music speak for itself on radio without being in everyones face like some other artists (who wont be named due to online fighting lol)
R is just mad because Pink owned the WHORE that is Beyonce on a segment of her tour while performing Stupid Girls. I have an idea, next year at the Grammys Beyonce can perform one of Pink’s songs and make it sound like the TRASH that she is!
You people need help. Spent more time talking about “she who shall remain nameless” than about Pink.
SMH @ grown people clingin to record sales like they have point on the album.
I’m embarassed for you
Anywhore..I’ve never bought a Pink album, and sometimes her “rebel schtick” gets a bit cliche.
But I think she’s talented. However I don’t buy into the whole ” I dont want recognition” thing. She’s not some damn indie singer, performing at Coffe Houses.
If you are performing in stadiums and selling millions of records, trust me you are still a manufactured product. You’re just targeting a different demographic. Spare me the outcasr bullshyt. Please.
Anyway my favorite performance of hers was actually a few Grammys ago when she was just singing acoustic with a guitar.
I could go without seeing her being slung around like an uncooked chicken cutlet.
I agree Misty. You can tell that Pink makes compromises with her music, as in songs that she loves and songs that have commercial appeal like Se What etc.
