If you have yet to check out my post on Goddess D E N A‘s defining party anthem “Cash, Diamond Rings, Swimming Pools”, then do so immediately!
2012′s hottest new pop sensation is causing a storm in the music industry, with every major magazine and media outlet under the sun desperate to get their hands on the new Kween of Kool. Not wanting to saturate the market with her flawlessness too quickly, Ms. D E N A (if ya nasty) reportedly turned down the cover of Rolling Stone, Vogue, and Playboy**, and decided to go with an edgy feature in Interview magazine instead.
Check out five quotes from D E N A’s interview with Interview below.
“It’s not a town that you live in and it becomes boring.” D E N A on life in Kreuzberg, Berlin.
“I’m composing, bringing all my beats to the studio, and making everything sound fett! I’m not hanging a lot at the Turkish market!” D E N A talks working hard on her upcoming album.
“I’m totally into Destiny’s Child! It’s my favorite band.” D E N A reveals her unique taste in music.
“I don’t have this “anti-pop” or “commercial music” thing. In Germany, there was this famous quote: “Good music, I dance. No good music, I not dance!”" D E N A’s proves that she’s not a music snob.
“I can’t really say. I’ve only heard two of their tracks.” D E N A on whether or not she’s the next M.I.A. or Santigold.
What’s not to love about this legend-in-the-making?
