[New Music] will.i.am feat. Britney Spears – Scream & Shout

Will.i.am‘s new single with Britney Spears, “Scream & Shout”, is the first bit of noise from Will’s solo career that anybody has ever cared about, for one very obvious reason (hint: it has to do with Britney). It’s not officially due to premiere until Monday, but B. Scott somehow got hold of the song early and has already leaked the shit out of it.

“Scream & Shout” isn’t quite the trainwreck mess that we’re used to hearing from Will, nor is it the flawlessness that is his last Britney collabo, “Big Fat Bass”. The middling synth number falls somewhere in between. It’s got a sexy beat and a nice a post-chorus breakdown, but the best part is hearing Britney acknowledge her Blackout days, with the Queen B delivering some lines in a British accent while Will samples her infamous, “It’s Britney, bitch!” catchphrase on the chorus. The nostalgic nod can only do so much, though, and at nearly five minutes long, “Scream & Shout” eventually veers into boring territory with its unchanging composition and weak hook.

Let’s just say that it’s 50% hawt, 50% Zzzzzzz.

Look for the new tune to hit iTunes next week, and for the music video to premiere on X Factor this coming Thursday.

    I knew it would be shit, It’s a Will I Am song lmao… All the stans are gonna act like it’s the best thing since head… Yeah “It’s Britney Bitch” slays but the English accent??? No… reminds me of crazy Brit but I do like her vocals on “scream and shout and let it all out” sounds like before she used so much autotune (no shade).

    Will.i.am is a great producer, we would be lying to say he wasn’t… the music he makes for other artist and black eye peas is on point. He has yet to make (or ever will) a hit for himself
