[Music Video] Kylie Minogue – “Timebomb”

As part of her K25 celebrations (that’s Kylie 25 years, for those of you who aren’t in the know), Kylie Minogue has gone and unleashed a brand new single called “Timebomb”.

I hate to admit this, but “Timebomb” is really terrible… Just kidding! It fucking slays.

Taking a page out of the Britney playbook, Kylie instigates an end of days dance party to a pulsating electro-pop soundtrack. “Timebomb” is a lot less glittery than Kylie’s recent spate of gay-friendly dance-pop, with a grittier and sexier sound that gives off some serious X-era non-single realness.

“Timebomb” is pretty much perfect for a random Kylie promo single. It’s a current slice of club-pop that’s totally commercial without being derivative like the kind of stuff  fellow dance diva Jennifer Lopez is doing lately, and there’s also little room to be left disappointed since it’s not like this is the lead single from Kylie’s next studio album or anything.

    Consider me slayed. I wasn’t expecting much from the Princess of Pop, but boy-oh-boy has she delivered. I hope top 40 radio picks this up, cause I’d prefer to hear this over another ReDone/[insert producer-of-the-moment] track. Also, she looks fucking amazing in the video. Could your faves!?

    The video is just an homage to Madonna’s past videos! I see Celebration, Ray of Light and Hung Up! As for the song it is mediocre! A b-side! Gang Bang and anything else on MDNA trashes this! MDNA is hardcore, this is playing at being hard!

    Let’s be real here. Kylie did in less than 4 minutes what the Vadge tried to do with a whole album cycle. “Gang Bang,” the  only moment of worth on MDNA, got taken to the back for slaughter just by Miss Minogue saying “Drive.” getaclue.edu, bitch.

Since Madonna is too busy releasing average albums so she can have something to tour with, i mean i love her and i love MDNA but this goes harder than anything in MDNA, even Gang Bang, cause this is addictive as shit! i hope this can become a hit for Miss Minogue, i’ve always felt she is underrated

    haaaa!! once again i feel myself silly happy that u loved this as much as i did! since madonna’s mdna was a huge pile of boring crap, kylie’s the only thing from western culture i pay attention now [still i HAVE to see the old goddes bitch live!].

    although “timebomb” doesn’t blow my mind up, feeling much like a leftover from the X-era, i love the track and can perfectly see myself losing my wig to it under the discolights. and this video, uhg, this woman is the sexiest thing alive!

Like the song itself is pure perfection with the video having the same effect. Hurry up and give me my greatest hits album or whatever you’re going to give me! I need it!
