[New Music] B.o.B. Feat. Taylor Swift – “Both of Us”

B.o.B. is kinda of lame and he has some shitty songs, but I have nothing against the dude. After all, I bought that Flo-rida song “Good Feeling” on iTunes, so I’m in no position to rag on Bobby, even if his songs make me Zzzzz and he’s the man responsible for kicking off the career of Bruno Mars.

*Shudders at mention of Bruno’s name*

Usually I wouldn’t give a fuck about a new B.o.B. song, but his latest tune “Both of Us” features the legendary Miss Taylor Swift, so it’s worth a listen for that alone.

*Listens to Song*

Verdict: Meh to the power of YAWN with a side of BLEH.

I’m only here for Tay-Tay, who has been getting more and more Hip-Hop over the past few years. She did that joke collabo with T-Pain, rapped to Nicki Minaj, covered Eminem, dissed Kanye West when she performed “Innocent” at the VMAs, got all those rappers like T.I. on stage with her during her last tour, and Usher even said called her “crunk”.

Bitch has more Hip-Hop cred than Nicki ‘Starships’ Minaj!

Exactly how i feel about Taylor’s entire discography (minus “You’re not sorry”). lol

    I still can’t believe this this. B.o.FUCK.B?

What is this fuckery? What a waste…

I loved Nothing On You, Airplanes and the wonderful gem of a bonus track called “Letters From Vietnam” on his debut album! I just wish he doesn’t feel the need to compromise his talent to be commercial.

  • nonminti

Taylor is the best lullaby,I can’t listen to her if I need to stay awake. Yet good luck to Bobby Ray :)

I like the song actually….I love B.o.B. over any “rapper” of the moment like any day, I think he is cool commercial more than “trying so hard to be hardcore” (Profesor Green, Machine Gun Kelly, Yelawolf) or “trying so hard to be alternative” (Drake, Asher Roth) or “trying so hard to be commercial” (Pitbull, Flo Rida, Nicki Minaj, K’naan, Tinie Tempah) type at least his smooth and not all over the place kind of like a mix of T.I. and Lupe Fiasco that actually made it and survive thought his “one-hit-wonder” moment (well T.I. isn’t actually a one-hit-wonder and his cool but you know what I mean no one cares anymore about the dude and Lupe…let’s just not go there, he’s cool, but let’s just not talk about charts and him).

  • animasaurus

Aww, I like a few of K’naan’s songs though like “take a minute” lol even if he is an asshole and is mostly shit. But yeah, I agree with this about B.o.B. his music speaks for itself and is what it is. Although I still take my Kid Cudi (I know he has a shitload of haters but I personally love his music) and Lupe Fiasco over him, he is tied with Whiz (his album is actually good if you ignore his non promoted tracks and that black and yellow shit) just under them on my small list of rappers that I enjoy/tolerate listening to because they just keep it real and don’t try for a certain type of shit. Just imo.

It feels more like BoB sampled of an old Taylor song than this actually being a collaboration. idk, it doesn’t gel well imo.
But T-Swizzle better get that money though!!!

Proph, have you gave a listen to her Hunger Games songs? Our girl has grown up so much in the last 2 years, since Speak Now to be exact. And finally, she has found her grown up voice now. I’m ready for album #4.

Two reasons why mainstream American music sucks right now…

I love Taylor’s Part it sounds so great and her voice is Improving, it sounds bit heavier/deeper now, beside she’s just being asked to collab by him, she’s trying new things which good.
