Ugh, how does Azealia Banks manage to be so consistently fucking amazing 100000% of the time? The hottest femcee in the game snatches crowns by temporarily pushing her hipster house beats to the side to put her own spin on hard-edged hip-hop in her new mixtape cut “Nathan”.

Banks raps like a firecracker over a gritty beat and twisted synthesizers courtesy of British producer Drums of Death, who’s best known for working with Peaches.

This is the kind of shit I wanna hear from my female rappers. Not here for anyone else but Banks right now.

    How creative. A song where she just repeatedly says “y’all niggas”. Sure, Azealia Banks can spit like mad, but it’s so sad to watch her try this hard! She is just DYING to be controversial. Saying “nigga” over 100 times in a song is super lame. I wish rappers would stop trying to prove that they have “street cred” by throwing out the N-word and just make some good fucking music. This song would be fucking amazing without all the “y’all niggas” bullshit.

    NAW!!!!!! If your black “nigga” isnt trying to prove street credit, it just part of your common vernacular. I just a word. I alway think its funny when people outside the race get upset when people say it. Not to mention almost all black artist use it in the lyircs at least; even Beyonce said a few times. So its very unbecoming to attack Ms. Banks for using a common word black people use….Just saying

    i didn’t want to like her because of her dumb beef with iggy but based on talent alone, how could i not. she has restored my interest in not just the female rap game but in rap music period. saw her at coachella and she layed down a great set. she’s putting so many femcee’s to same just breathing.

    I’m black and I’ve never had the occasion to use that word, nor would I. There’s no reason for it, really. I agree with the person above u… Using it repetitively makes it seem as if u didn’t have the smarts to come up with a better word that rhymes. Really it just makes me cringe when used like this. Not a fan of this song, but i like Azealia. I’ll wait for her more house-y stuff.
