New Kelly Clarkson single due this September

In what is some truly glorious news for Kelly Clarkson fans, Kelly has confirmed that she’s aiming to release her new single in September.

The single will serve as the lead from Clarksons fifth album which is due for release by the end of the year.

Kelly is currently on tour at the moment promoting her fourth album All I Ever Wanted, which to date has only sold around 1.4 million copied worldwide off the back of three singles.

A fourth single has yet to be confirmed for release, but “Long Shot” could end up seeing the light of day after it showed up on the Hit Predictor website, and was then announced as a new single by Canadian radio station CHUM-FM who then listed it on their website.

It took me all of 2009 to warm up to All I Ever Wanted (which I previously despised with a passion), but now I love it and I think it’d be a crime to not release a fourth single, especially since the album could use the sales boost. “Long Shot” is a good song, but I’m really rooting for “Don’t Let Me Stop You” instead.

    I love longshot! The best track on AIEW! The album title track is great too. These two should’ve been released instead of ‘i dont hook up’ and ‘dont let me stop you’.

    I love Impossible and the title track as well. My faves are DLMTS, AIEW, Ready, I Want You and of course Already Gone which was one of the best ballads of 2009.

    “Cry” is a good song too but “Don’t Let Me Stop You” is also good. Idk about “Long Shot” but it’s still good.. everything is good eh? hehe

    i was really hooked on If I Can’t Have You, it was instantly one of my favorties of the album, and i was kinda shocked and slightly disappointed it wasnt a single.

    Already Gone i loved, but i kept wanting to sing Halo to it. And i had this thing with Impossible, it was a solid pop record although people talked smack cause she fell under record label pressure but it came out really good. I never really got into My Decemeber.

    sorry proph but “Long Shot” is the best song on the album. if there is gonna be just one more single it should rightly be Long Shot. If she can release number five the dont let me stop you.

    I don’t like “long shot” it sounds like a Katy Perry song (because it is). That would also make it the second Katy song to be released off of AIEW. Not good – even Kelly has said she doesn’t like that song too much because it sounds like a katy perry song. She’s not hating, but I’m sure Kelly would much rather have something original.

She just tweeted, “Yes and I think we’re leaning towards a song that starts with an I and ends with a U” when someone ask her if there will be a new single off AIEW. haha it could be “if i can’t have you” or “i want you” haha silly girl i don’t think she realized. but i’m pretty sure it’s “if i can’t have you”

    wise choice, it’s dance which is popular now and it’ll give people a glimpse of what we could expect from her new record. this song rocks live! she infuses “sweet dreams are made of these” into the pre-bridge which sounds really cool. even though it is another Tedder song, but a while back a fan found out the royalties and Kelly actually gets more writing credit/royalties than Tedder on all the songs she wrote with him.

    Anyway, good luck on the Grammys tonight! I hope she wins her category!!! If she does, she’ll be the first and only person to have won “pop vocal album” twice.

    I love Kelly cant wait for her new album I legally own all of her albums so I will definably be coppin it. They dropped the ball on the project when the released I do not hook up that songs sucked and i think hurt her sales in the long run…. this should of been the order of her singles

    I absolutely love Don’t Let Me Stop You (it’s my favorite song on the whole album), that would have been my choice for the second single. I also love If I Can’t Have You. As much as I love IDNHU, it absolutely tanked the album :(
