New Black Eyed Peas album due this June
Hot on the heels of their album The E.N.D. The Black Eyed Peas have announced that they have a new album dropping around “June-July”.
I guess this means we’ll be waiting a while for Fergie to follow-up The Duchess?
BEP member apl.de.ap failed to give any specific information on the project, other than that the group have been recording it on the road and it will be a “continuation”.
My money is on the Peas doing either a re-release or a Lady GaGa The Fame Monster style EP since they still have two more music videos filmed and due for release, “Imma Be” and “Rock That Body”.
They’re also on tour until the beginning of June, which is interesting since they said the new album would drop around June-July.
The bands most recent album The E.N.D. has currently sold around five million copies worldwide, scored three Grammy awards, spawned two #1 singles, and broken chart records thanks to its smash hits “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling”.

I wouldn’t mind another BEP album as long as it’s still dance oriented. I do much more prefer a Fergie album though. “Dutchess” was the shit! Will.I.Am probably isn’t having that though since his solo project flopped hard as hell. I can’t help but think that he’s super jealous of Fergie.

really excited for this, but confused. i thought they had said that the e.n.d. was their official last album as a group and this would be their final tour… guess not? this is like jay-z “retiring”. but still stoked for another bep album!

They never said that The E.N.D. was their last album as a group. Why would they split after the success of that album? Nope, they said The E.N.D. signifies the end of one era and the move to another era.
I dunno how I feel about a new Peas album. I liked The E.N.D., it was a good party album but I kind of want a return to the more funky pop of Elephunk and Monkey Business.
I quite liked The Dutchess but I’m sure if Fergie was to create a follow-up, it would be all dancey and shit.

Normally I would say it is way too soon, but I really love their last album and wouldn’t mind hearing more music from them that is similar.
They are coming out w/ a new album all too fast, but I can’t fuckin wait for the last one. “The E.N.D.” was my shit, dance & workout to that shit every other day.
