New artist. New single. The Knocks “Blackout”.

The Knocks are an up and coming production/remix duo based out of the Lower East Side of Manhattan who have been gaining a bit of buzz lately thanks to their hit remixes for Ellie Goulding, Marina & The Diamonds, Sky Ferreira, Britney Spears, Passion Pit and Wale.

It didn’t take them long to get sick of behind-the-scenes work because now the boys have just dropped their first official single “Blackout”. The indie-dance song is filled with plinky piano keys, groovy chants and a throbbing baseline, and as the NY post put it “is destined for every indie iPod”.

Good stuff. Check out “Blackout” below.

I didn’t care for the singing, but I really liked the music…….I’d love for them to produce a couple tracks for Britney.

I’m with Yumm; the singing is alright…the music made it listenable

This is so much better then i thought it would be.
    I liked the singing too.
The song would sound good banging from some speakers in a club or at a “special” sort of party !!

    Fucking love it!
