[Music Video] Usher – “Climax”

I love dragging Flusher as much as the next troll, but even I can’t deny that the First Lady of Rev-Pop has hit a home run with his new single “Climax”. The slinky urban groove is everything that contemporary R&B should be in 2012, and while I wish this was Justin Timberlake’s big comeback single instead, he probably wouldn’t sing it quite as well as Flush-Flush has.

I’m not so hot on the music video, though. It’s all kinds of extra, with Usher delivering contemporary sign language choreography and racing around the place with a gun.

This ain’t The Faculty, bitch!

But even Usher’s OTT emoting can’t bring down a song this good. It’s already a guaranteed No. 1 on the R&B charts, and I also expect it to hit the top five –or at least the top 10– on the Hot 100.

    This song won’t go top 5 on the Hot 100. It’s kinda flopping. It is down in the 50′s on iTunes and I haven’t heard it on the radio at all. I don’t think it will take off, even with the video and promo….

    I LOVE the video …I think people need to pay a little more attention to everything happening in it. Fits the song perfectly. Not every video needs a Lady gaga stomp out moment. This is RnB at it’s best song and video.
