[Music Video] Nelly Furtado – Parking Lot

Fresh from her performance on Live! With Kelly & Michael, Nelly Furtado premieres the Ray Kay-directed music video for her latest single “Parking Lot” (single review).

The clip sees Nelly looking like a fierce and sexy kween (duh) as she dances around a parking lot (double duh) with her homies. Director Ray Kay initially tricks you into thinking that it’s a badly shot wide screen video, but as the video progresses the fat black bars at the top and bottom are filled with colorful visuals. It looks really neat, and I have to say that this is my favorite video and single from The Spirit Indestructible so far.

The only bad part? The doo-woppy outro is snipped off the end, and that’s the best part of the whole song!

    Lawd I checked the time length on this video before watching and I realized it was too short and that flawfree outro wasn’t included. It couldn’t have hurt to keep it for the clip right?

    Really like it!! It seems like this video got a bigger budget than her previous 2 (spirit indestructible MV is a big disappointment for me). Love the scene where she sat in the car with all the stuffed animals ^^!

    Nelly is sexy and not like “trying hard sexy” of now days like, every director in the fucking world or photographer want to rape those fucking eyes of her, those are very sexy eyes and she just need that to be sexy, the video is hot is like some Step Up realness shot by James Cameron (due the light effects) is pretty great.

    I love her album btw. And it’s a perfect follow-up to the “Loose” album!
    I’m sad that she’s not getting the popularity she once had. Like, couple of years ago, she was slaying all them hoes with her pussy-popping anthems… *sighs*

    Anyways, I LOOOOOOVE this song and the video is pretty clever I must say! AND OMG she is S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G.

    I got sad that the outro wasn’t included, it should’ve been a cute addition to the video, like they were driving the car and having fun while dancing to the outro xD
