The non-charting “Triumphlop (Forget ‘Er)” may be the worst single of Mariah Carey‘s career, but that doesn’t mean that it can’t get a nice music video.
Clad in various revealing gold-colored hooker ensembles that are probably part of her next HSN collection, Mariah plays a sexy ring girl in the boxing-themed visual. Hottie Meek Mill is the star boxer, and Rick Ross fills the role of the blingy Don King character.
Miss Mariah’s on fire, and I have to take my hat off to director Nick Cannon and the small army of editors who managed to make her look this buff and skinny. If this whole thing was just a cute little feature Mariah did for some new Meek Mill single, it’d be a stone groove smash.
In other news, have y’all heard the tea? TMZ have reported that Mariah hung up on Idol producers when they told her that they’re considering Nicki Minaj for American Idol (yes lambs, I am well and truly aware that the pair have worked together once before). Her spokesperson denied it, but something in the milk definitely ain’t clean. Regardless, Mariah has been campaigning on Twitter to get rocker (and close friend) Lenny Kravitz on the panel, tweeting Idol and retweeting fans who think it’s a good idea.
Girl.
These Idol bosses couldn’t have possibly fathomed the amount of diva drama they were gonna get by hiring Mariah. Expect this to be just the beginning of what is bound to be a string of outrageous rumors and moments.
