[Music Video] Loreen – Euphoria

Girl, you would not believe how many damn requests I’ve had to post that Loreen chick ever since she won Eurovision. “OMG PROPH, WHY DIDN’T YOU POST EUPHORIA?“, “PROPH, WHERE IS THAT LOREEN POST?“, “PROPH, EUPHORIA IS THE GREATEST SONG OF THE YEAR FUCKING AMAZING PLEASE SUPPORT #REALTALENT!” and so on and so forth.

My feelings for “Euphoria” are so middle-of-the-road that they’re virtually non-existent. All I can think of what I hear it is that it’s the kind of song that I know the gays at the club will get way too into when it plays, so I’ll conveniently use it as my cue to go ply myself with more booze at the bar so I don’t have to stand amongst a crowd of sweaty shirtless queens clenching their fists and expressively miming “EUUUUPPPHHHOOORRRIIIIAAAAAA!!!!!” like they’re on one of those rejected audition tapes for RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Anyway, the music video for the song premiered today, so here’s my post on “Euphoria”. I hope this ends the incessant nagging.

    Interestingly they were both on Eurovision this year – I’m pretty surprised you didn’t feature Anggun’s Eurovision video/song here, Proph, that was amazing!

    LOL this song is amazing though… And her performance on Eurovision was giving me major oldschool Kate Bush, so I loved it lol
    As for the video, I love the idea and execution of the big open field and all the different weathers etc It was really cool, I just think she could have taken it one step further and put more dancing in the video like she did for the live performance and it would have SLAYED, it’s visually beautiful though.

    Song is a big hit, here in Europe. Her performance on Eurovision was hot and different from anything else, this year. Serbia was good, too.

    True, I think Anggun’s song is a lot fresher and more original than ‘Euphoria’, but it’s definitely not as instant, it’s mostly in French and the performance wasn’t as strong as it should have been – which pretty much explains why it bombed on Eurovision. Too bad, as it deserved to be at least in the Top 10.

    But the ‘Echo’ video is easily one of the best to come out this year!

    Black stage, mumbled the whole first verse (in the semi and in the final) fake snow, kung fu moves…none of it did anything for me…then again the whole contest didn’t really have any spectacular performances. Great songs though.
