[Music Video] Chris Brown – “Don’t Wake Me Up”

William Orbit says that Chris Brown‘s “Don’t Wake Me Up” is one of the best songs he produced that didn’t make the cut for Madonna’s MDNA. I beg to differ, as it only took me five seconds to get over this song after initially attempting to get into it, which is pretty much the standard for all Chris Brown music these days.

Anyway, “Don’t Wake Me Up” must be Breezy’s new single, because it just got the visual treatment. The clip’s pretty, but I’m bored.

I think this song is called “Don’t Wake Me Up” because everybody who listens to it falls asleep and doesn’t wanna leave slumberland until it’s finished.

    I like Chris, but seeing his Fortune era, I don’t think that it will be successful. His single order shows that he is blatantly doing F.A.M.E. part two which people have already had enough. If not party-rocking and a so-called swagger, then it will be sex, sex, and sex. I hope he comes up with a better song choice because his music starts to sound all the same.

    The visual is good but song is boring like you said. I miss the old Breezy. I’d love to see him releasing something like Kiss Kiss (mah jam!) or I Can Transform Ya.

    god damn, when are they gunna just shelf his aLbum already? isn’t this like the 12th single/video off the aLbum and it’s not even out yet?!?!

    what’s the point in wasting money on all these videos when clearly the public isn’t even interested?

    It’s getting some heavy rotation in Aus Radio. I wouldn’t turn it off if it was on radio, but not worth a download.

    Off topic but I love that they are playing Loreen’s Euphoria on radio.

    Madonna can sing and you know it. Not the best singer but she can sing. And the song is boring, sounds like any other song on the radio.

    The autotune on the chorus is pretty unbearable but fuck me, can you image Madonnas version.

    I don’t like Chris Brown but I can appreciate his contributions to society by safely removing this song from Madonna’s hands.

    Madonna would have ruined this song and it probably wouldn’t have made her album for that reason anyway. 

    The version of the song that leaked back in February where the production is a bit different is the better version of the song, the one that I fell in love with. I think it’s got a majestic feeling to it. 

    I wish he would have released that version and made a video that didn’t involve a horrible car crash, something that matched the song better.

    I agree the version that leaked in February is better, but I couldn’t imagine Madonna sing this song… it would be so overproduce and weird. I’m glad she pass on it.

    I don’t hate it, I think its enjoyable. I may be the minority here, but I think Madonna would have pulled this song off if actually given the chance.

    This video itself reminds me of “Frozen” and “Ray Of Light”… but Chris’s videos are always horrible so it’s not a shocker.

    I really like this. A LOT. The video actually captured my attention and made me want to watch the whole thing like I really wanted to see where it was going. I don’t fully understand what was going on in the video… but it was super pretty to look at.

    Actually think Madonna would have slayed this tune- don’t get me wrong, i quite like this track (though no fan of C.B) but i think this would have actually been the stand out track on MDNA and would have been an international hit-as it is the only song on there that raises my pulse is Love Spent…..Oh well, what could have been…
