MUSIC VIDEO! Carrie Underwood – Cowboy Casanova!
Country superstar Carrie Underwood has just dropped the video for her brand new single “Cowboy Casanova”. The song is currently #96 on the Hot 100, and #11 on the country charts, and is the official lead from Carrie’s new album Play On which drops November 3rd. Check it out below.
I’m a massive Carrie stan but this video was disappointing. It was all style and no substance, and the director needs to realise that sexier doesn’t automatically equal better. The western/burlesque theme was great though, and Carrie looked like some gorgeous couture cowgirl, but everything else was very awkward. There was no real storyline, it was just a bunch of random dance scenes with Carrie looking hot and shaking her hips. It really lacked direction and was very incoherent.
I still love the song though and I can’t wait for the new queen of country to drop her new album and reclaim her place on top of the charts.

WOW! There is nothing boring about this video you freaking HATER. Don’t forget she’s a country singer, and for a country singer to make this kind of video is definitely nothing boring.JERK.She’s not trying to be Beyonce she’s just exploring new territory.You’re just a tweenybopper Taylor Swift fan anyway.So jealous.At least Carrie can sing her behind off live- not just in the studio.
it was a decent video.. although it didn’t do the song justice but i give her props for trying new things when it comes to her videos.. i had flashbacks from (If U Seek Amy) during this video.. i kept waiting for britney to come out with a bunch of cheerleaders or something LOL!
It was better than I expected… I usually can’t stand watching country music videos. But I agree with some of the points you made I guess. I wouldn’t have noticed if you didn’t say anything though, lol.

And I like country music video’s. Carrie is a very commercial artist her management are trying to sex her up now and I don’t like it. Taylor is so poppy I hope they dont make Carrie go that way

I really like carrie, her music is amazing, I own both of her previous albums and al, and this video was just alright, I liked seeing a new side of her, she looks stunning but i agree there was no storyline.
By the way, as it just me but..at 1:44 she looks as if she’s pulling a britney move, lol

It was very Britney-esqe, and as a big Britney fan, I LOVED it. Yea there wasn’t a story, but videos don’t always have to have one. I don’t recall Before He Cheats being much more than her walking down a dark street. Kudos for Carrie working a lil modern coreography (i.e.: not line dancing, dosey doe, etc) into the video. If Miss Carrie wishes to become the Britney of the country music world, then I will gladly embrace her even tighter than I already had!
