Mumford & Sons premiere epic new single “I Will Wait”

Following the mammoth, slow-burning success of their 2009 debut, Sigh No More, Mumford & Sons are gearing up to release their official follow-up, Babel, on September 24.

The first single, “I Will Wait”, premiered today, and if it’s anything to go by, then Babel is going to be even bigger than Sigh No More was.

The folky foot-stomper is a storm of thrashing banjo and rollicking romanticism, with harmoniously layered vocals and a shout-it-out-loud chorus. It’s nothing short of exhilarating, and it’s so obviously a hit. Think of it as the indie-folk equivalent of a new Rihanna single.

Absolutely massive.

I love how they sound exactly like CANADA’S Great Big Sea but yet they get all the acclaim and fortune!!!
