Mariah Carey ready to hit the road with the “Angels Cry” tour
The Prophet Blog can exclusively reveal that Mariah Carey is planning to hit the road next year for the official “Angels Cry” tour.
Named after the ballad from her new album Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel, the Angels Cry tour will see the diva performing hits from her new album as well as her extensive back catalogue.
The first official show of the tour will be Mariah’s special New Years Eve concert at Madison Square Garden, which features Trey Songz.
As of now the tour will remain in the States, but Mimi is looking into international dates with possibilities of extending it to a world tour, though nothing has been 100% confirmed yet.
The opening act has been confirmed as RydazNrtist, a new R&B group signed to Nick Cannons NCredible Entertainment. They recently released their first single “Sorry Ass Apology” which is currently being played on MTV. You can check out their new music video below.
Now, are you excited to see Mariah in concert? Will you be going to the Angels Cry tour? I think she should add “Breakdown” and “I Still Believe” to the set-list because she hardly ever performs them and they’re my favourite!

Her tour is a snooozefest. I almost fell asleep everytime when I was watching ‘ the adventures of mimi’ save your money and just download it when the dvd comes out !
I am excited, because that means Australia may be a contender in the Tour and she might perform songs that will NEVER be performed elsewhere. I hope she comes here, I want it to be my first concert! Maybe she can come to Australia and sort out this SHIT w/ her record label here. They need to be sorted out by Mimi herself. I just hope that its not the same old setlist, with a few new songs from MEMOIRS thrown in. I wanna see songs that have not been performed for ages. E.g. Without You, and Forever. Maybe those songs. But I just hope AUSTRALIA is one of there international options. It could also boost her sales for MEMOIRS [which is flopping hard due to UMA's stupid ideas]. I just want to see her in CONCERT! .. Bring on the “Angels Cry Tour” [Love the name too]. = )

Breakdown is one of my favorites too!!She did it on the TAOM tour and it was soooooo hot!!Too bad it didn’t make the dvd!

OMG!!! I didnt think there would be a tour, so I went to see her in Las Vegas on Oct. 9! It was AMAZING!!! I cant believe this! I am going to this for SURE!!! I CANNOT WAIT!! yay! “ANGELS CRY TOUR” …..oooohhhh yeeeahhh!!!!

BTW. Breakdown wasnt on the DVD because it wasnt the show that they recorded. Breakdown was performed at another venue. The DVD was recorded in Anaheim, California. Thats why it wasnt included. She did like a minute snippet of ‘Your Girl’ in some parts of the tour. I hope they record the ANGELS CRY TOUR and release it on DVD. = )
Maybe Angels Cry tour will be smaller. I bet they’ll use a lot of the same stuff from the Pearl Gig.
My least fave is DEFINITELY E=MC2 which I despise. The reason why is that she tried to re-create TEOM and just copy the formula, but TEOM was perfect and the only place to go from there is down. Its the worst album, safe and boring. I love a few cuts though, like Cruise Control which I think is great because its mariah experimenting with a new sound

Im going to see her @ MSG / can’t waitt . Her live @ the pearl got rave reviews , so im looking forward to it. Her vocals have been really good this era, I would love to see her perform Its a wrap & impossible. “The roof” was an epic song, a perfomance of that , E P I C . At this point I don’t think its really about sales for Mariah, Most Critcis praised the album , Her role in Precious has got’n a lot of oscar buzz, I mean , overall this has been a great era for mimi, aside from sales.
