Mariah Carey performs in New York!
I was just about to head to class when these popped up in my inbox. Mariah Carey performed a special concert in New York on Oct 5th, which has just been released online.
The diva performed her new single “H.A.T.E.U.”, as well as her flawless classics “Always Be My Baby” and “We Belong Together”.
I’m in a huge rush so I don’t have time for a big review, but from I can hear she looks and sounds great. The “Always Be My Baby” performance is a stone groove smash. Is it just me though or does she seem a little down?
And what happened to “I Want To Know What Love Is”? Do you think she’ll still release the video?

she sounded great, i dont know why the album isnt performing very well on the chart, i guess people are tired of her., releasing HATE U as a 3rd would’nt do help at all anyway there will always be a next album lol. But i love mariah dearly just go take a long break, pray to God that u wil be given a chance to become a mother to enjoy ur womanhood.

It such a mess what they’ve done with this album…hands down her best this decade and they are mishandling it left and right. I hope “H.A.T.E.U” takes off soon.
WOW! That was surprisingly EXCELLENT. I didn’t think she still had it but she absolutely KILLED Always Be My Baby. She even nailed the two growls at the end! And those usually fuck her up…. Wow I’m so impressed. I didn’t listen to HATEU cuz I hate that song but We Belong Together was definitely solid. Not her greatest performance, obviously, but still… not to be sniffed at. So impressed by this! It gives me hope that her time may not actually have come and passed!
And yes, I agree, she didn’t look like she was enjoying herself at all. But then again, whenever she sings her songs really well, it always looks like it takes a lot of effort and it’s really draining, which I’m sure it is.
And I’m so disappointed with how IWKWLI is performing on the charts!! I think it’s an excellent ballad and I would’ve loved to see it be her 18th No1, or 19th or 20th or whatever ridiculously impressive number she’s at now.
Her vocals have been surprisingly perfect lately. She has done extremely well on every single performance. I’m impressed to say the least.

CB, Glitter, TEOM, and Rainbow are all better than Memoirs.
It isn’t the labels fault its flopping LOL. It’s had tons of promo, and a massive hit single with Obsessed.
The album is mediocre at best, that’s why nobody is buying it.
Also, she might have had so many singers because of how layered the vocals are on ‘H.A.T.E.U’. That’s just my guess obviously, but the song is very layered, so it might take more vocalists to get a solid effect behind her voice.

Always Be My Baby: Damnn PERFECT!! This performance had a great sound! She belted them few notes hard at the end!!! 100%
We Belong Together: It was good but she has performed it better! 70%
H.A.T.E.U.: It’s a new song so she sings it really good live!! Nice lil slow jam! 90%
I loved it all but I was so happy at the Always Be My Baby performance!!!

I was actually AT this show!! She was amazing and looked great. I wont tickets through a contest with http://www.iheartradio.com and me and my gf got in. When she did “Always be my baby” everyone went nuts!! I <3 her.
