Madonna starts work on next studio album
Never one to stand by as younger divas come for her crown, Madonna is now reportedly working on her twelfth studio album which could see a release as early as next year.
Not much is known about the project yet, but it looks like it’s shaping up to be more “Celebration” and less “Hard Candy” with electro-house/Hip-Hop DJ A-Trak confirmed to be contributing to the album. Also attached to the project is David Guetta who announced that he’d be be working with the Queen of Pop soon, with sources stating that he’s currently preparing several demos to submit to her.
There’s also a rumor that the material girl has enlisted indie-rock producer Brendon O’Brien, who’s previous credits include work for Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Train and many more.
Madge knows how to make good dance music and her albums are always top notch, but if her next one sounds anything like “Celebration” I probably won’t be too interested. More dance music is just not something I’m checking for right now.

I like Madonna but I’ve never bought any of her albums but I almost caved when “Confessions” came out in 2005. I love her club mixes and if it’s anything like “Celebration” I may buy her next album.

Anyways, I really like Madonna! I’m really hoping that she releases something like COADF. That album was flawless! Hard Candy was good at first and I loved it but it got old after a while, while COADF is epic in my book. To me it’s Madonna’s “Blackout”. As for the producers… I’m getting sick of the same producer. Gueta is annoying. He’s another RedOne, Timbaland, Ryan Tedder… He’s really annoying.
I really hope she releases something good or else shes really going to go down hill from there. Cuz that would be her second album in a row to flop… Idk if she can comeback if she fails on this one even tho she’s the “Queen Of Pop”…

Madonna has excellent chemistry with David Guetta, cause remixes he did for her are hot. And I’ll probably love this album cause it will be summerish and made for the clubs, something like Black Eyed Peas or David Guetta himself.
But I really don’t want it. If she makes another record, I’d really want it to be more serious. Like in Ray Of Light/Bedtime Stories/Music/American Life era. I want another deep and dark album like Ray Of Light was.

Hey Truth.. you’re right. Madonna and Michael Jackson are not on the same level. She has dozens of more hits than he did and while he totally stagnated into the same tired sounds early in the 90′s, Madonna continued (and continues) to innovate.
Madonna is way above that freak Michael Jackson, who only put out three great albums in his lifetime and never again was able to sustain his 80′s success.

ok the one who says that MJ is not talent is the most stupid ass hole in the world I just can imagine that he/she just like pop trash like heidi montag, paris hilton, the pussycat dolls or other untalentless that can sing, or make a really good live act…the same for the one who says “lady gaga”.
MJ is talented but not as talented as Madge. Look at his This is it rehearsals. The music were just the one’s we hear from the released versions – exactly the same with some parts being extended. Whereas for Madge, she tries not just to re-invent herself but also her songs. this is pure talent. MJ’s talant is by the book. as for style, MJ has the same thing. still the same old crouch-touching. nothing is ever new. the only reason MJ songs are good is becase of the beats – the stop-beat style. Madge has shown versatility with her songs as well as her concerts. she is the only POP icon with great new ideas. it’s new, that is why people don’t grasp the idea immediately, but you’ll eventually see that everybody else will be doing it a few months after. she is a trend setter. she leads. MJ is non of those. Madge rose from those negativity people imposed on her. MJ dorwned with it engaging in substance abuse. Madge is a real strong woman and she’s bound to survive all your bXllshxts. you’re right to say she is not MJ, but i disagree that MJ is better cause Madge is already miles away.
Madonna is more the equivalent of the female Elvis Presley, in terms of impact on culture and entertainment- that mix of reverence and commercial success that few others have (MJ was one of them, too). Of course, Madonna’s impact differs from others in that she challenged gender, religious, sexual and social mores in her music, videos and stage shows. The music itself was a template for pop/dance to come after and achieved a decent amount of acclaim through the years,, but she cemented her status with what she did in her work, to shove all those issues right in our face. It was a no-brainer that she’d be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on her first year of eligibility (the Rock Hall, btw, is about more than just rock music, always has been).
Hopefully the next album beings back some magic- Hard Candy was kinda lacking as a MADONNA album. Her best albums are Like a Prayer and Ray of Light; the weakest between American Life and Hard Candy. Erotica- a big fan favorite- isn’t a favorite of mine, but I appreciate the intent behind it and enjoy parts.

EVERY SINGLE contemporary pop act borrows heavily from the genius, innovation and originality of Michael Jackson, INCLUDING Madonna. He had more prodigious talent as a 12 year old than every other pop act today COMBINED who can only now hope to copy what he did the best they can.
MJ doesn’t even have to promote his shit, “re-invent” his image or any of the other superficial image crap that other artists have to depend on to stay relevant. The man held ONE press conference this year announcing he wants to do some concerts and they BROKE RECORDS selling out WITHIN HOURS of the tickets being released. Leave the David Letterman and Today Show circuit to the lesser celebrities INCLUDING MADONNA.
And this is all without even mentioning the fact that he’s broken more records than any other artist in history or that his last album was considered a “flop” by MJ standards selling multiple times more than Rihanna’s MOST successfull one.
I will re-iterate what I said before. If Michael Jackson is the KING OF POP, Madonna is merely a court jester. If you insist on calling her the Queen then Michael Jackson is the fucking GOD of music.

i love the idea that she is returning to her House style grooves of the late eighties and early nineties, proper old school Madge!! with David Guetta providing major house and electronic beats…i want a major dance anthem for the recording, something retro yet classy while ultimately epic!
whereas rock songs will also be welcome and just like…wow maybe that Like A Prayer style rock beat or that trash electric sound that was used for the likes of Burning Up or Into The Groove.
i feel that this album is what us fans are craving for and will bring more fans in!!

David Guetta is producing Britney’s next album along with many other producers so i think her seventh album may be similar in tone to the Black Eyed Peas The E-N-D album, so it could be really good and i hope it is similar to In The Zone or Blackout as they are amazing albums!!

I say bring it on Madonna! I am kind of hoping for an American Life sound…not completely but I want a more raw album from her now. I’m bored of Confessions & Hard Candy. I want to see some of that ‘edgy’ side of her now and i would LOVE to see her absolutely blow her competition and critics out of the water once and for all. In a way i feel a bit sorry for Madonna now, the once mighty Queen of all the universe seem’s to have fallen because of her own success. So excellent was she at Re-inventing, discovering and working with upcoming producers that her formula has now been seized by every other wannabe from Britney Spears through to Kylie, and that is a shame. Upcoming acts and producers are harder to find, its almost as if she doesnt face competition from record sales but the very producers she needs to keep her cutting edge. Team Kylie have forked out millions to get her with uber cool producers to keep her relavent, are they trying to turn her into Madonna??? Who knows but for her next album she’s enlisted non other than Madonna’s right hand cast off Mr Stuart Price. I feel sad about that if im honest, Madonna was always able to forge really special relationships with her co-producers and Stuart directed Madonna for the best part of a decade, now he’s working with her, well… it wouldnt seem right Madonna going back to something Minogue had used! Kylie has always been snapping at Madonna’s heels and even though Britney may have stolen a few Madonna-isms over the years, Minogue has all but transformed herself into Madonna, her management xerox whatever Madonna does and apply it to Kylies career, what worked for the biggest lady in pop will surely work for her right? WRONG! Minogue has worked with more Madonna cast offs this last decade than she has during the whole of the 1990′s, Gaultier, D&G, Stephane Sednaoi, Micheal Gondry, Stephen Bray and now Stuart Price… such is her managements aim to MAKE her as succesful, if not a rival to Madonna. But in that i see major flaws, there really is only one Madonna and people love Madonna for who she is, what she stands for and what she projects, watching Minogues collaborations with Madonna’s cast offs is like watching a younger sister dress up in her older sisters clothes, its cute but ultimatley wrong, i just cant take her seriously. And here lies my dilema, with Minogue snatching all Madonna’s ex producers and working with the hot new talent like Redone (lady GaGa), who else is there out there than can match old hits produced for Madonna like Vogue, Hung Up, Music or Give it 2 Me? Im not even inspired by GaGa’s music let alone anything Stuarts produced after Madonna! I guess thats one thing Minogue will REALLY have a problem with, she’s working with producers who have already ejected their best work onto acts like GaGa, Madonna and Britney. It caused Madonna some problems working with Timbaland, he was everywhere and her collaborations with him sounded old… will Kylie have this same problem? Its highly likely to be honest for shes working with Stuart at the back end of his career! At least Madonna is used to putting her trust into virtual unknowns and they work! Why? Because its 60% her and 40% the producer, she has so much experience on hand she instinctively knows what sounds hot, Kylie im afraid lacks any form of credibility in my eyes, she doesnt share the same pedigree as Madonna, at all. But whoever Madonna collaborates with im more anxious about it than any other Madonna release, i only hope its something REALLY cutting edge, new and vibrant, she would never settle for second best like Kylie, i only hope its not a case of Timbaland part 2!
