LISTEN: Christina Aguilera – “Not Myself Tonight”

It’s finally here! After being teased and taunted for the past two weeks, Christina Aguilera’s new single “Not Myself Tonight” has made it’s official premiere on the world wide web.

Produced by Polow Da Don and penned by Ester Dean, “Not Myself Tonight” is literally the club banger to end all club bangers (for the time being at least). The song takes all the best parts from 90′s house music, urban beats and electro, and mixes them all together to create something cutting edge and fresh that’ll sound at home in the club, the car, the radio and about every other place you can possibly imagine playing it.

I can definitely hear elements of Lady GaGa in this, as well as a lot of Britney and some of Janet’s “Feedback”, but Christina still puts her own stamp on the song though, mainly thanks to her powerhouse vocals which are often imitated but never duplicated.

    Grammy’s don’t mean shit. Beyonce broke a grammy record, with one of her grammys being for something she didn’t even do (songwriting).

    When you’re breaking records for stuff you didnt even do then there is a serious problem.

BTW Celin Dion also has said Christina is the voice of our generation and she want to work with her….

A grammy award is the most prestigious award you can possibly win. it voted on by music industries professionals like ceo and music producers as well as artist themselves. these are the people who wrote music everyday who know whats going on behind the scenes i think they know a lil bit more then you do and not just anyone can win one. You must look at the quality of an artist, writing credits, personality true talent. the grammys are one the only award show that donesnt pay any mind to sales its strictly about the music and talent. thats exactly why britney will never win best pop vocals u need to get some first sweetie!

    The Grammy’s aren’t really credible anymore tbh. They are just an upscale VMAs, all they do is award the biggest sellers. Sales doesn’t mean anything either, Beyonce has sold I don’t know how many records, but her music is still doodooo.

    i’d rather Christina be Legendtina than the Queen of Pop! Legend means so much more than queen does! Queen just makes you sound like you only do one lane and it repeats itself every year whereas Legend means you’ve left your footprints all over, you’ve touched everything there is to be touched and you appeal to more than just one community!

    All hail Legendtina! Who said the song was groundbreaking? It’s new for her and the only song by Britney Spears that was groundbreaking was “Toxic,” so don’t act like “Gimme More” is so damn masterpiece. “Gimme More” and “Not Myself Tonight” both have hot beats with lack of lyrics, so stop acting like “Gimme More” is so much better. They are both great club tracks and that’s all they’ll ever be. That’s why I’m so excited about her work with Ladytron, Santigold and M.I.A., because she’ll have hot music, but it will be meaningful.
